Damn.... There are a lot of *******s on this forum. He had an awesome experience and people are saying **** like, "Cool story bro," and talking about how its not a big deal. What is the point of posting if you're just going to put down? $116 is $116; that allowed him to buy the computer when he wanted to, and saved him a bit of money. Now he can buy a cool accessory, or put that extra money into his savings since he was already, I'm assuming, budgeting to spend the full price.

Here's the story:

I wanted to buy a 2,6GHZ cmbp with the HD screen and anti-glare option.

Here in Canada, it cost 2329$ plus taxes, so 2677.77$. The apple financial services gave me 2700$, so I should be good right? Wrong! When you place your order, they ask for a little more😕 (2723$ in my case) money for the authorization but the order ships the only bill you the exact amount. 😱

Because of this, I wasn't able to place order. So I called Apple, asking them to ask for the exact amount in authorization: They said that they couldn't since it is all automated.😡

But they did give me a 5% reduction! Now I am being charged only 2543.88$! So just like that they kicked off 116.45$ from the price.😀

Now I'm an happy fanboy!🙂

It's been only 4 years since I switched to Mac and I never had to talk Apple costumer services until this morning, and I got to say that it went pretty well.
It is normal when you are not patronizing

It's threads like this that make me not want anything to do with Apple.

I swear Apple is a bi-polar company. Some guys like the OP get all of the luck, and then there's my who can't even buy a mac when I'm waving cash in front of the sales people, or my girlfriend who needed to wait over 45 minutes for a 30 second genius appointment.

Once I was waiting for the genius bar and while waiting I was reading a book, they forgot me and I waited for 2 hours!

Almost every transactions that I make with Apple are online, I for one don't like the Applestore. It is nice to be able to play around with stuff before buying it but even when there are a freaking zillion clerk in the store you still have to wait to spend money.

Wave cash anywhere else and see how long you'll have to wait before getting serve. I would say not long at all.
