What's happening with Adium in your computer?

MSN refuses to connect, it just hangs on connecting. A quick search on the Adium forums threw up some terminal commands that echoes strings of some sort into a file, it's a temporary fix which has it working, apparently it should be removed when adium is updated.

Overall Leopard runs better on my 12" PB 1.33 than Tiger did.

I've had a few issues, but mainly related to third-party software. All effects work for me and haven't encountered any choppiness. No photobooth background effects for me, but I don't have a webcam normally anyway.

Now if I could get two finger scrolling, I would be happier, but hopefully that will be soon

I had a similar problem the first time I installed Tiger. The problem is most likely not with Leopard, just a faulty installation. Rather than re-installing Tiger, I'd re-install Leopard.

Another erase and install or run the leopard on top of the one installed?

I got Leopard in my computer the first day it came out (October 26) and did an erase and clean install.

Did you wait for spotlight to finish indexing your computer? If that's not it then it sounds like you just have a bad install. Leopard is much more stable than even Tiger 10.4.10

So you recommend that I install Leopard again?... another erase and clean install

One of the things that I really hate about Leopard in my computer is the icons animation in the dock... I can't leave the magnification and the auto hide of the dock on... is very very very choppy... it wasn't like that in Tiger

Nope, i am enjoying Leopard very much. I will not install it on my laptop yet since i dont see the need and i dont have the time to backup everything and go through that again :).

Flawless here, I can't even imagine going back to Tiger after the improvements in leopard.

Can't get enough Leopard!

I was going to wait a few days at least before putting it on my production machine, but after installing it on my iMac I only lasted 24 hours. Only problems I have are no more inquisitor (shame - I liked that so much) and on the iMac, but not MBP, when in mosaic screensaver the message, "creating mosaic database" does not go away.

:):D

Thanks Tony - I have just downloaded the new version. They sure did work quickly to get it running on leopard - I tried yesterday or the day before and they hadn't.

Cheers

I re-entered the Tiger zone last night. Leopard had so many little annoyances that it wasn't worth it.

It killed all my custom folder icons.
Having to use aliases to get simple dock folders.
Safariblock not working for me, even with the prescribed fix.
Sidebar icons too tiny.
Shiny dock ugly/hacked dock too dark.
Annoying+Useless=Stacks.
No organizing Finder search results by date mod'd or size, or label.
Fonts in menu bar looked ratty and thin.
PNG icons lost transparency.
More stuff I probably forgot.

I've just re-installed Leopard again to see if the choppines goes away...

I'll try it for a while

It was running nice... well, I'm back with Tiger now. Until they figure all the issues in Leopard...

Now is great!!!

Also rolled back to tiger this morning (thank god for carbon copy cloner).

You can add to the reasons to roll back:
Adobe apps not working.
Graphics card drivers flaky and causing on-screen artifacts.

Until i can updrade to CS3 and apple fixes the ATI graphics card drivers I'm going to have to stay in Tiger.

Yep... I'm staying with the Tiger until the Leopard grows up... :)
