Ok now this is interesting.

So cars with supported USB connections may allow the iPhone to function as a CarPlay head unit?

Surprised I never heard of this one.
I wasn’t actually saying this is going to be a thing. I’m saying there’s no technical restriction from allowing it to be one. We have a mechanism that senses when driving. No reason not to allow CarPlay to activate there. Even more simply, a Bluetooth connection could easily be set to trigger the same effects.

Honestly I’ve thought this from the beginning though. Android has had a similar feature since they introduced android auto.

Let me tell you some jaw dropping features the Galaxy S8 already has for just €625 vs the standard iPhone 7 32GB (4.7')

The Samsung phone offers QI-charging, fast-charging (in the box), longer battery life, better camera, larger edge to edge screen, OLED panel, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, universal USB type C, IP68 water/dust resistance, Iris-scanner, facial recognition, 64GB standard, SD-card slot, $100 AKG earbuds (in the box)....

Let alone the iPhone 8 which is going to cost €1500 in EU, HAHAAHAHAHHAHAH

Lets not forget that it can also be used as a full desktop PC with DeX and supports VR...the iphone will have nothing jawdropping..............

And if you purchase the up and coming Note 8...that S pen is icing on the cake.
