The people that are out of touch with the computing world should realize that 11.6" netbooks have been around for over a year now and use anything from Atoms to CULV's to i3's.

I bet a year ago, you all would have laughed at and insulted anyone considering an 11.6" "netbook" but now all of a sudden it's all "IT'S THE FIRST FULL-POWERED ULTRAPORTABLE!". Newflash: even *ACER* has had 11.6", 2.x lb netbooks with i3, 4gb of RAM and FOUR USB ports for a long time now and for ~$500 to boot. Not all netbooks are 1ghz Atoms with 9" screens.

The Alienware m11x has a faster CPU, and faster GPU and the same screen size as the Air and is considered a netbook. Why would the Air11 not be a netbook?

The only people who consider it a netbook are those who incorrectly call ultraportables netbooks.

I think of ultra-portable as very small or light for its size. the Dell Vostro v13, Adamo, or Latitude 13 I would call ultra-portable, the Air13 I would call ultra-portable.

A 12.1 in could be borderline, but i have yet to see a single 11.6in not called a netbook.
