Yep, he's been named 'interim manager'.

Really though, at Chelsea they're all just interim managers... :p

Apparently Guardiola turned up his nose at Romanski saying he's not ready to come back to football yes.

Eyes for Arsenal as Wenger's successor maybe? one can dream.

Bayern Munich fans will still keep their hopes up that Pep is learning German, so he can take Heynkes' spot next year. I sincerely hope that is/will not become true.

On a happy note, to my surprise all German teams made it into the next round :) With last week's result with the nationalteam you can never be too sure what will happen ;)

I'm not sure Guardiola will ever be ready to come back to football, that's one tough act to follow, unless he wants to prove it wasn't the players... heh who knows.

To sum up last night.

Twente couldn't and PSV wouldn't. Dutch football at it's worst. :(

This weekend, all the main action takes place on Sunday, due to Europe matches.

PEC Zwolle vs FC Twente
PEC are at home to Twente, this 14 against 2 in the Eredivisie. After McLaren saying that only the Eredivisie title interested him I expect a far better showing from Twente.

Roda vs Ajax
This is 16 against 4, Ajax are much better away from home, and need to stay in contact with the top three teams.

PSV vs Vitesse
This 1 against 3, this time there is no hiding for PSV, after saving players mid week, and effectively throwing a match, they will have to play and play well. It's one of the reasons that PSV is not well liked outside this part of the Netherlands. They are to calculating, playing the averages, winning ugly more times than any other team in Dutch football ever.
Most neutral supporters will be hoping for a Vitesse win, I see PSV winning but not in a good style.

He was my tip for first PL manager to be sacked, but clearly Roman got an itchy trigger finger before Tony did.

Mark Hughes? Him gorn, QPR have announced via Twitter.

No, really.

Fulham supporters are having a collective laugh right now. For those who don't know, Hughes left Fulham because they didn't match his ambition. Little did they know at the time that his ambition was to lead a team into a relegation battle.

At this point in time, it would seem that Al-Fayed is West London's most sensible football chairman. Cripes.

I'm sure Benitez knows he's going to be sacked sooner rather than later. But on the other hand, it's a big club and a big payout, and equal or better managers have been fired before him. Win-win for Rafa.

You mean worst case scenario is, he defends the CL-titel and probably the FA Cup and has to stay several months longer, before getting sacked in favor of Pep or even 'the dirty one'? Could be!

Really don't fancy Utd for the title at all this year. If it wasn't for the SAF effect...

Then again everyone in the top 3 is weaker this season and there for the taking.
