Nice to see Mainz back in the game. Hertha faced the league's best the last matches and played very well in my opinion. Unfortunately there was nothing to gain though - seeing underdogs constantly winning points against the big dogs in the PL here and there doesn't really work in the BL. Anyway, we played good and missed a bit of luck so I have no doubt that the next matches will result in some fine points. We miss Baumjohann though!
Thought that as well, you were doing very good there, a pity it did not pay off.

Same can be said for Mainz, I saw their game vs Dortmund. Always the same old s***! :D

Don't like Soto though.

Favourite for the Wednesday job at the moment is Stuart Pearce. As much as I like the guy, I don't think he's the right manager for Wednesday, certainly not with the predicament we're currently in anyway.

...Brucie will be looking for a new job very soon.

He tried to walk a fine line in his statements, but given Allam's intransigence he might find himself in hot water with his boss. The piece in the Guardian by Mark Gretton was also pretty measured. The only person who is being outrageous here is, unfortunately, Allam.

Bruce's timing was interesting, he's been on the fence when asked so far but it looks like he feels the win against Liverpool might insulate him from any Allam-based anger.

I thought the Guardian piece was great, apparently the folk behind CTWD have been inundated with media requests in the past few days following the 'go away and die' stuff that appeared in the Independent. So far the campaign has been pretty much spot on with its tone - looking calm, sensible and measured as the owner makes himself look increasingly bonkers.

Typical Wednesday, with every up, there's the inevitable down. Now managerless, we claim only our second win of the season, but the other 2 bottom clubs also win. Hey-ho!

OMG. Löw just announced that he won't vote for the Fifa player of the year. There may be good reasons to do so but not because "he's afraid his vote will be made public afterwards". Such a coward! Never going to win anything with someone like him. Period.

I'd understand if he'd said 'This vote is a travesty! It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham!', but someone may find out. What next, he doesn't go out because people may realise he dyes his hair? Lucky are the teams who draw Germany on Friday.:)

Cheers,
OW

Yeah, something like this: "This vote is a travesty! It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham! And I hereby refuse also to lead my team to the scam which is called WC'14 and immediately retire as a consequence. I do so because I know Jupp Heynckes can do even better with this awesome generation of talented players. Yours truly, Jogi." :D

Friday? Good to know, but I genuinely don't care about those things. One should always play the best teams available imho. ;) No, really.

THE MASSIVE WEDNESDAY WIN!

ATHLETIC CLUB BEATS BARCA!

Great start to the week !!!

COME ON YOU SPURS!!

Actually, the best start to your week was probably Dave Jones going. He can continue to blame the players all he wants, but they're the players he bought/brought in and its the team he picks that apparently show no commitment...

Annoys me how Chelsea play badly overall but grind out results.

At least City are actually playing well.

That said Suarez...

United...
