Meanwhile, MLS continues to ignore international breaks, giving Columbus Crew SC their first match after the rebrand.

Philadelphia 2-3 Columbus Crew SC

At this stage of the season away wins are absolutely huge, and with Crew SC down 2-0 late in the second half this looked like a loss before three goals in four minutes snatched a big win. Columbus is in 5th (the final playoff spot) in the East, so despite the lack of production from our strikers we are holding our own.

Ref was blind but Arsenal should've still won easily and Flamini shouldn't be trying to draw a foul when facing his own goal.

They were poor. And i think thats them out of the title race.

Way too many draws.

Wonder if Mertesacker will fall to his knees in bemusement like Gallas did.

On the flip-side well done to Jaffa's boys. Should've gotten all 3pts.

Well done Hull City AFC. :) A hair's breadth from a win and it would have been fully deserved.

EDIT: Liverpool are totally unconvincing but win anyway. QPR's long balls produced all sorts of chaos in the Liverpool defense; not a good thing be vulnerable against. Balotelli is still firing blanks.

Real Madrid are going to destroy us. I'm not going to bother watching or even following the MBM.

EDIT2: New York Energy Drinks 2-3 Columbus

A big, big away win for Columbus in New Jersey. Toronto lost on Saturday meaning Columbus have firmly clinched a playoff spot and are tied with Sporting KC in third. If Columbus can hang on to third, they get a first round bye in the playoffs, obviously a very big deal.

In MLS, it's all about getting hot when the playoffs start, and Columbus are hot right now. If they can maintain this momentum they might actually make a decent run.

The Crew have only one game left in the regular season, at home to Philadelphia, who have already been eliminated. Meanwhile, Sporting KC (tied with Columbus for 3rd) play New York (2 points behind Columbus in 5th). If Columbus win and KC draw or lose, third place is ours.

Interestingly, Columbus and KC are currently tied on both points and goal difference. The Crew have scored 50 goals to KC's 48. So it could come down to tiebreakers.

Another winless away trip for United.

United only a point better off at this stage of last season.

The sooner LvG dumps RvP to the bench, the better.

International break; not bad - Slovakia, Poland, Ireland, and Iceland. Also, England continue to bore - even when they win by 5.

I could not agree more, RvP is turning into a Fernando Torres both for club and country.

City really are hapless in Europe. Granted the ref was a mug but still...

could be worse: half an hour in Roma is 0 - 4 down at home vs. Bayern

... and now it's a penalty... yowsers ... 0-5

looks like Bayern is getting into gear after their traditional after-world-cup slump

At least Bayern have shrunk the GD of Roma for City.

Now they just need to win their last 3 games against Roma away, Bayern at home and CSKA at home. No big.

Again it looks like Chelsea is England's only hope in Europe.

I am hoping apple gets a deal with BPL and possible UfEA for Apple TV. It's in the works right now but prob won't be until 15/16 season

You can already do this with the NBC Sports Live Extra app and AirPlay. Normally, I'm just on their website with my Mac Mini HTPC and that works just as well.

You need a cable subscription that includes NBC Sports channels though in order to be able to access the site, right? I don't have cable and I'm never going to buy it again...I can watch MLS with MLS Live (a whole season costs less than 1 month's worth of cable), but for everything else I have to go to a pub or rely on dodgy internet streams. :(

I am hoping for an a la carte service where I can just pay for streaming Premier League content and nothing else.

Well, all you really need is a login and password.;)

I've been cable free for 5+ years and I ain't going back! :)

This season is already looking fun.

EDIT: We didn't deserve anything from that game tbh, but i'll take the 3pts.

HBD Arsene, still not convinced you still have what it takes to take us forward. But we could do much worse. So cheers to you old man.
