By the way, for those in the USA, you can watch all ten matches of the final day of the English Premier League if you have cable/satellite TV service on various networks owned by Comcast/NBC Universal, all starting at 1000 hours Eastern Time/0700 hours Pacific Time/1500 hours British Summer Time. I wonder how do people in England watch this, especially since its on a Sunday (and not subject to the ban on 1500 hours matches like it is on Saturday now).

unbelievable that Hamburg made it to the relegation again. Ridiculous that Freiburg goes into the second league, when you look at the statistics for goal difference and goals shot and got and that there is 1 point between them.

Word on the street is that Jackson Martinez is being linked to Arsenal and Falcao will be going to Atletico Madrid instead of Juventus...next season will be interesting.

Here is US TV schedule for tomorrow.

No reason to watch these matches unless your'e a Hull or Newcastle fan. Shame that Hull drew Man Utd for their final match - that really lets Newcastle and that *** ******* Mike Ashley off the hook.

I just wish that someday, somewhere, football fans with a bad owner like Newcastle's Ashley would do the one thing that can really hurt an owner - stop showing up for games.

As things stand, Hull are going down.

Meanwhile, Arsenal playing exhibition stuff at the Emirates whilst Stoke are dismantling (or rather have dismantled) 'Pool.

EDIT: Newcastle just scored

well the stuttgart game has shown that there is a football god. So there still is a chance that this time HSV fails in the relegation games.

Last time HSV made it on away goals .. not so sure they can stress their luck like that every year.

well Karlsruhe might have a bit more bite to them than Fürth last season, but of course HSV is the favorite in both matches, this season they definitely deserve to relegate along with Schlake for putting on such a poor performance in the last matches.

Either way though, I'll get a kick out of seeing HSV in the 2. Bundesliga or the management topping the previous season's embarrassment.

Liverpool

hehe, agree.

I find that Christian Streich is a great person. Before the match he said about his team: "we are all rich, have children, we all have to eat and drink and such a pleasant life, the rest doesn't matter."

The curve of Dortmund is looking interesting

Shame that Newcastle stayed up - Ashley is absolutely laughing. Jaffa's boys have had a very rough second half of the season. Best of luck to them in the Championship - a far, far more competitive league less affected by financial doping.

Liverpool completely disgraced themselves. A very up and down season ends on a very demoralizing note, without a great deal to be happy about. At this moment in time I can't see where the current squad and manager are going to improve enough to outperform the teams above them. 5th place is the glass ceiling.

Gerrard is a wonderfully talented player, it's sad to see him end his Liverpool career like this.

Columbus drew 2-2 at home to hated rivals Chicago on Friday - I was hoping for a win but Chicago have a good record against us. Still, the season is looking pretty good and Kamara is productive.

Allardyce gets the pink slip. Klopp being touted as the replacement but i'd have thought 'Pool would be scrambling to land Klopp.

Speaking of pink slips, Falcao has been dismissed.

As for Newcastle, if i was Carver i'd resign. They might have escaped, but unless theres an overhaul there'll be a repeat performance next season.

EDIT: Barca's 2016 kit

i like those!

...and Ancelotti is gone
Shocking decision in my opinion. Florentino Perez is the real problem in Madrid. Dismantling a Champions League-winning squad and buying two number 10s (Kroos and James) to replace two players that contributed balance to the team (Di Maria and Alonso). Ancelotti obviously had no say in the transfer dealings, and he did the best job he could of with an unbalanced selection.

It is safe to say that Real Madrid would not see long-term success until Perez has gone.

Maradonna was quoted as: "Blatter is a lifetime dictator". I really don't understand, why people like him don't use their power, when they even speak it out in the first place.

Wish we'd got second but glad we nailed 3rd because another playoff would be exhausting. I'll take 3rd+FA Cup as a decent season. Hopefully Walcott and Wilshere start the FA Cup final. We need pace upfront and driving runners. Good to see Ox back too. Cazorla and Ozil probably need a breather. Don't look as fresh/sharp. So bring back the English core.

Ancelotti can hold his head high, he won them decima and did the best he could with an unfavourable position/team. Reality hasn't changed for Madrid, they aren't a team but rather a collection of egotistical individuals. Perez thinks money trumps everything and the banks keep enabling the clubs terrible habit.

On another note, its that time of year again where all sorts of names are being thrown around

Vidal, Schneiderlin, Cech, Martinez, Sterling.

If we get Scneiderlin, Cech and Martinez/Lacazette i would be both shocked and happy.

But i doubt S'oton and Chelski will sell. Nor Vidal move. Martinez is kinda ageing too but probably better than what we have now. I'd have preferred Benteke or Lacazette but oh well.

Don't really want Sterling if i'm honest. Looks like more trouble than necessary. I'd keep Walcott.

As an Arsenal fan i can't make fun of 'Pool's 6-1 defeat having suffered 6-0s and 8-2s.

I wonder if Klopp or Ancelotti will end up in 'Pool either would be a big step up. Rodgers should move to West Ham, to me he's just not ready to manage a CL/CL aspiring club. FSG cheapened out when they hired him and they're now paying for it massively.

All in all its been a very, VERY dull season. The only highlight is Leicester's escape, and Barca's resurgence, everything else was terribly predictable.

You are half right. the problem is perez but not james and kroos. you can say that if they were doing bad but they are far from that...i think it was a bad move from perez to fire ancelotti, kinda shocked.

May, 27th; 5pm CET

Friendly match of Swiss and German women's team. Last test before the start of the WC on June, 6th in Kanada. The same day as the CL final (though 2-3h later), wonder what they might have thought, when they planned it.

Switzerland is the first time at a World Cup. Their coach is a former German women's national team player that Germany was interested in getting her as the next coach, when the current resigns in 2016. She not only worked on strengthening the Swiss team, but also the Swiss League, managing to take Swiss players that were playing in the German league back to build something up.

Not that much of an interesting match, perhaps, but better than nothing ;)

Word on the street is that Falcao will be going to Atletico Madrid instead of Juventus...next season will be interesting.

Word is also that he's said he'd like to stay in the EPL, ideally at a London club, would be happy to take a pay cut, and with Chelsea needing a striker...

affa's boys have had a very rough second half of the season. Best of luck to them in the Championship - a far, far more competitive league less affected by financial doping.

Jaffa disappears from the forum and Hull go into free fall. A coincidence?

Edit: Wait, what? FIFA is corrupt???

The only thing I see coming from this is Blatter coming out of it smelling of roses

Where's Blatter?

Andrew Jennings has been on the radio:

FIFA are lying when they say the raid is at their request.

Sponsors will be done with FIFA if there isn't a clear-out.

2018 will be in USA, 2022 in England or Belgium and the Netherlands; it may just be euphoria - something being done after his years of investigation.

Cheers,
OW

Euphoria may be an understatement.

Blatter will sit this one out. He's a real pro at that.

Fifa are basically always lying.

Sponsors will happily deal with Fifa as long as Football (and the WorldCup as the pinnacle) drews along billions of views from potential customers - discussing the latest hair-do of whoever is the flavor of the month player.

2018 - won't watch it because of Russia
2022 - won't watch it because of Qatar
