In the "Barcelona are in another class" news category, Messi provided an assist to Suarez...on a penalty kick! The goal gave Suarez a hat trick during a 6-1 win over Celta Vigo.
Incredibly cheeky, if any other team did that it would be seen as unacceptable showboating.
Bayern lost poor Badstuber again due an hefty injury. Open secret that this guy's bones aren't made for pro-sports. Poor lad. Admirable the spirit to fight back when more in rehab than on the pitch in the last, what, 4years or so, but somewhat I have the feeling this guy will have serious problems with his legs all his life if he continues like that - if he hasn't ruined them already. Since he basically earned more than he'll ever need I'm not sure I'd be cheering him back on pitch.
Some are speculating that the amount of injuries in Munich might be connected to the 2014 installed hybrid-grass pitch.
Artificial grass usually comes with more injuries but it was thought that the modern hybrid pitches with it's small amount of artificial grass don't have the same injury creating properties.
In the coming summer break the pitch is up for replacement anyway and will be replaced with a full natural pitch again.
Didn't know that. Interesting! Bayern have lots of injuries since about two years so that timeframe fits...
But regardless, Badstuber is super injury prone. He's got great talent otherwise he'd be filtered out long, long ago since those super injury prone (= due "bad genes" / not the right type of body structure for professional sports) players normally don't make it into the A-level. Some friends of mine had already 3-4 knee operations during school time (!), just one bad move and it was over, super athletes btw, was hard to understand back then since I did the same and never came remotely into that territory. Bad luck I guess.
And Zanetti obviously has been replaced by a cyborg at age 20

On the other side there are players who, considering the amount of games they play, are/were hardly ever injured. Lahm, Müller,Lewandowski, Messi, Maldini
The God of Football continues to vindicate Moyes
