What a strange trophy presentation. It's so 2020...but never mind, Liverpool are Champions!

Well...that was like watching pre-season friendly, just before the season kicks off.
Goals galore, loads of mistakes on both sides and a complete look of freedom for both sets of players.

Liverpool wanted that win today, and despite some more late-season sloppiness (and some pretty slick play from Chelsea), they did the business.

Pulisic looked like the real deal today. A wonderful performance from a rising American star. I am absolutely heartbroken that a player who is so crucial to team USA's hopes, one who I enjoy watching and root for every time he plays, has to play in a Chelsea shirt.

And the Mahktar injury...?

I do believe THE MASSIVE WEDNESDAY will be relegated as we are most likely due a points deduction because our owner/chairman/in house idiot has no idea how to run a football club properly.

Has anything been said about Sheffield Wednesday's points deduction? The EFL were quick to apply Wigan's but I haven't really seen what's happening to yours?

I hope for your sake that you don't come down to League 1. If you think the refereeing in the Championship is bad, it's a whole new ballpark in League 1!

No no i'm fully aware. The whole League 1 thing is still new to me after 17 years in the Championship :p.

The meeting to arrange a re-start to the season is tomorrow. But knowing the incompetence of the EFL, i'm sure it'll get delayed again by a few weeks.

Commiserations on the fate of Sheffield Wednesday, & the best of luck.

Whoops, I thought I posted about that earlier. Mokhtar is rumored to have a strain, so it could have been much worse. No word on when he will return. I'm more worried about Eloy Room's hamstring problem (not sure how serious it is). He's been very good ever since he arrived and losing your starting keeper in a knockout tournament is a big blow. Tarbell has done OK in his place so far, but Room is a superior player and we need him back ASAP.

Columbus faces Minnesota United next.

I think if I ever saw Roy Keane in the street, I would be tempted to punch him.
Viera and I, are not fans of him :D

Joey Barton is another. I think he is a thug, mugging a living in football. Merely my opinion.

I never understood why Keane was so feared? Always got the impression his reputation was more fearsome than he actually was. One player who thoroughly deserved a good kicking IMO :p

I think that the various rounds of his unpleasant encounters with Alf-Inge Haaland may have helped generate this (somewhat justified) reputation for ruthless, and sometimes vengeful aggression.

That said most of the current crop of footballers seem to role around on the floor like they have been shot after the slightest touch.

Sometimes, they roll before they even have been touched; a sort of preternatural precognition.

Whilst calling out to the ref to see if a penalty will be awarded!
