Only Rio jinxing it lol.So now all England need to do is beat an inferior Denmark team at Wembley. Then they're in a final - also at Wembley, in front of their own fans and basically none of the opposition fans. What could possibly go wrong? A doddle.![]()
I felt like Italy took their foot off the gas a little after they scored, and never showed quite the same level of attacking intent. Maybe some of that was fatigue, but Italy's instinct is always to bunker in these circumstances. The match lost its impetus after FT. Italy in particular looked exhausted, but they had the mental and emotional strength to get through 120 minutes and nail (almost) all their penalties.
Danes are not rolling over. That was some free kick.
A seriously good free kick, and the first goal that has been conceded by England since the tournament started.Holy cow. At the Britannia pub across the Geneva main station and Denmark just scored. 😮
I know it’s a long way to go, but why am I thinking of penalties? Please no!
I feel sick. The nerves. We’re playing better, but I don’t want penalties against Schmichael. And so, Extra Time beckons.
And that - penalties - is (are?) what I imagine that Denmark will try to summon up the energy and motivation to play for.I feel sick. The nerves. We’re playing better, but I don’t want penalties against Schmichael.
Yup never a pen but once hes given it he was going to stick with it. Who cares lolVery soft penalty for me. But glad to be in front.
