Mad props to our BOYS IN GOLD!

Lost in the League Cup Final on pks last night.

IMHO we were as good or better for most of the match.

Messi had a goal and one bounce off the post. He wasn't as big a factor as he could have been. Our D was pretty solid.

Spain have played well and better then expected this tournament.
Well deserved win for them 🥇

Sweden will meet them soon again in the (National League) qualification for Olympics 😅

Spain wins it and deservedly so.

Well done England.

Bravo.

Very well done England, - a fantastic tournament - and congratulations to Spain who were excellent.

Wonderful.

You know how they say that you cannot be what you cannot see - or, it is difficult to conceive, or imagine, otherwise - well, when I was a kid, I think I would have given almost anything to have been able to see something like this.

I DID started to play football myself very early, at 11-12 👶
I started in a local small team. But I became friend with a player who played in the national team, when she visited and guest played with us in a training match, as this smaller club was her mother club.
Sh-t that was a level change. She enlisted me to her club, and so I moved closer to that place as a 15 yr old, and my *splendid football career* started. Ah, well I was not so very talented, except for my physic, willingness to train harder than most, and maybe a quite good eye for the game. Play against me was a tough thing though.

Well done to Spain, they contained England very well. From an England performance point of view I think it was one of their worst games. I think Sarina will be gutted because it is history repeating itself, wins the Euros and loses the WWC with the Netherlands (beaten by USA in 2019) and wins the Euro's and loses the WWC with England (beaten by Spain in 2023).

Now that Spain have won the WWC I believe there will be questions asked as to how does a team that gets hammered in the group stages (beaten 4-0 by Japan) go on to win the WWC. Not many teams come back from a loss like that but Spain did.

Unfortunately this result will validate Spain’s problematic coach and the autocratic behavior of the Spanish FA towards the fifteen Spain players who previously left the team in protest. Will their voices be silenced in light of this victory?

Everton are making a hard afternoon of it. 2 goals down after 24 minutes. I don’t see a way back from this.
Four down, now.

Granted, it is still very early days, but they have been flirting with trouble for the past few seasons and have only only avoided relegation in recent years because a few teams were actually worse than them.

Not only have (the absurdly amply resourced) Chelsea missed a penalty, but West Ham now lead, by two goals to one, thanks to the excellent Michail Antonio.

WestHam 3-1 Game Over.

That was tense watch for Hammers.

Brilliantly win for Hammers especially with 10 men for most of the second half.

I think Arsenal dodged a bullet with Mudryk.

And now it’s 3-1 to the hammers. No matter how many millions Chelsea spend, I hope it’s many years of overpaying for players and under delivering on the pitch.
