We’ve been linked with so many different strikers this transfer window. Just hope we get the right one (however that might be!).
Meanwhile Bowen may be back on Monday night against Chelsea. That would be a very welcome boost!

eh. A point is a point.

Brighton humiliated United. Forest absolutely annihilated Brighton.

Not looking forward to United's next visit to Forest in April!

Looks like Marcus Rashford is going out on loan to Aston Villa. While I preferred to see him go abroad, at least there will be one fewer distraction for Amorim to deal with, and perhaps a clean slate will do Rashford some good. However, Emory demands hard workers just as much as Amorim does, so we'll see if Rash is up to it. It's a sad saga, but I do wish him the best.
I can never wrap my head around the sheer stupidity and hubris that is openly defying your boss since the beginning before he even has the chance to open his mouth.
Of course he already is a millionaire but whatever...
The inability of being able to show up and put in the effort three hours each day or whatever is daily practice is mind boggling.

Genuinely curious why Pep hasn't played Stones in midfield.

As it stands they cannot manage any control in any of their games. Silva and Lewis simply doesn't work

Good statement win from Arsenal. MLS sh**housery was entertaining.

Agreed.

Mind boggling, indeed.

One would think that pride, - and professionalism, - and self-respect, would demand this, if nothing else.

And I write as someone who likes Marcus Rashford, (or, rather, liked Rashford), not least because I admire and respect the strong (and impressive) stance he took on state-funded school meals for children attending school in less affluent areas, or, put plainly, in deprived areas.

I’m sure you are. A draw would probably have been the best result in helping Forest secure a CL spot though (which is what I’d like to see).
A thorough thrashing of City - I cannot abide the state owned clubs - is always something pleasant to behold.

And City engaged in some sneaky, nasty, graceless fouls, as well.

Ferguson has signed a loan deal until the end of the season. Hopefully with an option to buy. I much prefer seeing us sign younger players.
Also Cummings from Celtic has signed a contract for next season, so another one for the future.
Still in discussions re Kroupi from Lorient.

Hopefully this one goes through as well. We need some options for this season!

Even before professionalism the thing I have more difficulty to understand is lack of self interest.
Showing up is before anything taking care of your own business.

On other issue it seems Arsenal had a wonderful day at the office.

That is the only thing I admire and respect Rashford for because of the stance he took against the government about free school meals for school children and because of that in my opinion it is why his football has suffered because I think all the attention he got went to his head. He suddenly become more popular than everyone in the club and such a things makes a person feel they are important.

I’ll catch the highlights later. I’m not keen on state owned clubs either.
I'm not keen on state-owned clubs, and I'm also not keen on City's entitled, graceless and greedy attitude.

Today, Bernardo Silva - an exceedingly good player but graceless and unpleasant in defeat - committed several nasty, petty fouls.

Loved to see some of the Arsenal youngsters doing so well today:

And I loved that Myles Lewis-Skelly scored such a beauty: There is a sort of fitting, and exquisitely apt, sense of poetic justice in this, not least because (according to the Guardian), in the corresponding, earlier, fixture between both teams earlier in the season, before he had even played a minute on the pitch, he had been asked, gracelessly, arrogantly, and unpleasantly, by Erling Haaland: "Who the **** are you?"

After this afternoon, I think that Haaland may well now know who he is.

Agreed.

He was courageous, articulate, informed and a most impressive role model; I respected him enormously for his stance on state funded school meals for children from deprived areas.

You could well have a point.

This hadn't occurred to me, but you make a case well worth considering.

Good win today. Best part was the 2 teenagers scoring great goals. And to think Oliver almost ruined it.

Love that Hale End/Mertesacker keeps nurturing and churning out gems.

I see the two Haalands trying to mock us by pointing to their EPL badge. Would have more of an argument with the UCL trophy

Last i checked, we're still the only team with a Gold EPL trophy. And we didn't have to cop 115 charges to do it.

Anyway, on to the next one.

Villa have got Rashford on a loan deal till the end of the season with an option to buy. Will be interesting to see how he performs at Villa.

Just been watching the highlights. What struck my about Arsenal’s 5 goals, not one was a set piece.
First was a poor defensive error. Why not kick it up the park instead of across your own goal mouth to a defender being closed down? The second goal took a wicked deflection.
But the third and fifth were both class goals. Both from teenagers. I think the pace of Walker might have helped City but he has moved on.

I have no doubt Pep and supporters of City will be saying City is having a tough time because of injuries to key players which has affected the teams rhythm, balance and flow. He suffered the same when at Barcelona, have too many key players injured and they start to perform badly.

Just a shame they did not get kicked out of champions league because that would have been perfect, out of the champions league and get hammered by Arsenal.

WOW!

3rd in the table!!

I hadn't noticed!

Cheers!
Back in October, they prevailed at Anfield 0-1, accounting for Liverpool's only loss so far this season, and held them to a draw recently at home. Only 3 other teams have a chance to not have a loss to Liverpool.

wow Moyes is doing an excellent job at Everton so far. He joins them as their new manager and they go win 3 games in a row, Everton have not been able to do that all season.

As for Forest, even better, 3rd and currently a place in the champions league. That was unheard of a couple of years ago.

3 wins in 4 games is way above my expectations. But very welcome. We only had 3 wins in the first 20 (!) matches this season.

Now, if we can get a result in the postponed match agains Liverpool (probably last ever derby at Goodison) after next weekend's FA cup ties, I might become overly optimistic and start looking upwards on the table.

He did it once before, took Everton from mid table, a team full of good players, a low budget club and got them into Europe a number of times. I have no doubt he can do it again.

Not surprised by the result. Howe has employed the same tactics the last 3 matches and Arteta has failed to respond. Played them 3x and have failed to even score a goal.

Bonus points...looks like we have another injury

Arteta and the board will live and die by the upcoming summer window

Arteta also needs to do some soul searching this summer. Cos 3 managers seem to have his number.
