While I like the fact that Gyokeres scored Arsenal's second goal, (and has since hit the post), I also very much like the fact that Arsenal are creating serious chances from open play.

3-0

Zubimendi is having hell of a game.
And (thankfully, something for which I remain eternally grateful), Martinelli didn't start the game, and didn't have an opportunity to run, head down, into the thickets of the corner flag, but, instead, made an appearance as a substitute on the 78th minute, when the match has been already won, thus, excellent chances won't be botched, and a fresh pair of energetic and tirelessly running legs won't (and wouldn't) go amiss.

A happy Gunner, here.

This was a good victory.

Both the fact of the victory, and the manner of the victory (plus the fact that all three goals were scored from open play - I have nothing against scoring from set pieces, and like the fact that Arsenal have made it something of a specialty - but, last season, while our defence was possibly the best in the league, we really did had difficulty scoring goals from open play), were impressive, while the players who actually scored the goals (Zubimendi and Gyokeres both on the score sheet, while Noni Madeuke also excelled - all three of them summer signings) signalled that it is possible to score from play in the absence of Saka, and to keep a clean sheet in the absence of Saliba.

All the signings have done well. Zubi remains my favourite signing so far. I was concerned given his size but his ball control and distribution is ridiculous.

But Madueke looks bang on form and Eze doing Eze things.

Gyok did his job and put the game to bed.

If Odegaard injured the same shoulder again i worry he'll be out for longer. But Nwaneri did a good job in his absence

Mosquera continues to be mostly solid which is reassuring

Not sure hiring Ange was the right move for Forrest. Especially with a team assembled on Nuno's ideas. I fear they might struggle.

Saliba is already back in training so good news for our defence but we have enough cover this season.

Rice got rest as well for CL next week.

Must be nice being able to rest players of Rice’s calibre.

Like society in general the gulf between the haves and the have nots is widening everyday.

If Postecoglou sets Forest out to play like he did in league matches at Spurs, I can’t see his tenure there being anything but disaster.

On the other hand, if he uses the same tactical approach he did with Spurs in Europe, he might get somewhere. I think it’s as simple as that. All that ‘this is just how we play, mate’ business from his time at Spurs needs to go out the window.
