Deep undercover is definitely a possibility. According to the promo there's an FBI mole (at least it's not CTU!). I also read that this season there'll be no 2x2-hour premier slots. Maybe something to do with Kiefer getting banged up for a few days so they have to stretch it out?

Or possibly related to his serving two stints in jail for his DUI conviction?

i don't think all of them for this year have been written, i've heard anywhere from 7-10 shows written, and i've heard nowhere that the season was written, so expect delays if this strike lasts.

an extended work stoppage is likely to mean that there will be no new season of 24. Fox won't start the show if its story can't be completed in the real-time format (and 24 episodes) that viewers expect

that may also mean keifer will be going to jail asap.

Jack will be back-- but when is now an open question.

Fox has pushed back the planned January debut of "24," citing uncertainty over the strike as a reason. Net wants to make sure viewers see the action unfold without interruption.
