Please post what worked for you... I've been trying to do the same for weeks now. I've tried everything mentioned on this tread, but just as the original poster, I run into the same errors every time.

Someone really needs to post/host a clear cut guide on this. Too many are going to be stuck on 4.2.10 because of simple mistakes (or in my case, letting the kids play with your phone).

I had issues no matter the host files settings getting the 1013 also though on 4.3.3. but none the less same issue.

TU Exit Recovery wasn't working either. You actually had the OS loaded just needed to get out of recovery.

I found and use FixRecovery43 and it has worked for me when TU has failed.

I'm actually trying to downgrade from 4.2.10 to 4.2.6. I've tried many different methods of downgrading, but still get the 1013 error after (it seems) the firmware has loaded.

I'm trying out FixRecovery43 and of course am getting another error: "Cannot find ituneshelper.dll." I'll figure that out and let everyone know if I make any progress.

Update: Fixed the "Cannot find..." error, but now FixRecovery is stuck on "Waiting for device to enter DFU mode" even when the phone is in DFU mode.

Holy Jebus it seems FixRecovery43 randomly decided to work on the 6th attempt!!!

Once I confirm everything I'll post a step-by-step on what I did.

Things are looking good!
