The 5s is definitely holding its own

Oh, and the 6 is waaaaay cooler than the 5s. Faster processor, higher PPI, better camera, I mean wipes the floor with the 5s. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
 
Gladly just sold my 5s for a price only 120 dollars less than new off contract - and it had scratched back. No reason to keep it when I want a new phone and got that much for 5s. Now rocking lumia 520 until my iphone 6. 5s is so dated with 4 inch and huge bezels.

The iPhone 6 actually has the exact same PPI as the 5s. 326ppi. It just has more pixels it had to fill.

Every iphone has their own character. Original, 3G/3GS, 4/4S, 5/5S are all sexy in their own ways. I was just impressed how the 5s holds up spec wise. Definitely a great piece.

It's okay I have 6+ 128gb space gray waiting for me on Friday 9/19.

Unlike some people here I know how to appreciate a great device. I don't just set it aside and treat it like old news. My new toy is coming Friday but it's been a great year for my 5s

Mate. You sound like your feelings are hurt about your 5S and are trying to cover it up.

What's going on with you, are you alright? Need to talk about somethin? Or is this just not coming over the way you intend it over the internet?
 
I would have kept my 5S except for Display Zoom

I use my iPhone 5s a lot, but for what I use it for, it would have fine for at least another year (or two). But the larger screen size and Display Zoom make the upgrade to the 6 worth it for me. If I could have gotten my head around carrying around something as large as the 6 Plus, I would have gotten that, instead. (Maybe next year after.) Everything else (A8/M8, NFC, improved camera, etc.) doesn't really matter to me, and I'm very annoyed that the battery life isn't very significantly improved.

If the Touch ID sensor/algorithm is better, that would also be an improvement for me, because the Touch ID sensor on the 5s has never worked consistently for me, and I don't use it.

The iPhone 5s is by no means a bad phone. Yes the 6 and 6+ are the latest and greatest. I'm glad that you're still happy with the 5s.

Oddly enough my touchID is 90% consistent. No complaints here. Make sure you position your fingers in the most angle possible to increase compatibility.
 
I guess just the anticipation of having a new toy and putting my 5s aside... It's been a great device.

He never said he wasn't getting a 6 or 6+ he just said he was keeping the 5s. He buys literally every iphone that comes out. Also he's on about every thread in the forum. So I took it as he likes the 5s and he's going to keep it even after he gets the 6plus...

I realize you have opinions, but the 6 nor 6+ wipes the floor with the 5s. The processor is a very minimal upgrade. Have you seen the benchmarks? Not that impressive. The screen size?? So what? I'd be happy if the 5s was 4.3" ... I'd keep it for years, but I'm going with the iPhone 6 because personally 5.5" is much too big especially with those "huge bezels"

Thanks Thomas. I know the ecosystem and it's funny how I'm automatically looked down upon. This was an eye opening moment for me. Some people really are snobs. Can u imagine being an outsider in the apple environment? Lawd

Also if the 5s was 4.3" I wouldn't even been considering an upgrade...

The thread isn't him justifying anything. He's getting the new phone. Also he has a 5s and a 5c. I mean I've only been on these forums for a year and I've seen the guys posts...
