The 5s is definitely holding its own

This entire forum gets whacky around launch time. Wow, not only do you have snobby people talking about an Apple phone being better than the same phone just smaller ... You also have people being snobby towards an absolute Apple

Also I don't know if people realize this, but the 6 and 6+ run the exact same A8. If the 6+ does come with 1gb of RAM the 6 will be a much much another experience

It holds well against the new phones except a few here and there. Shape is great and build quality is unmatched. IMO great piece of technical device, I'm glad I'm keeping it..

Hold off well? Not really.. I mean, the iPhone 6 is clearly updated with many new important and potentially game changing features... like NFC and Health Barometer... Also, how is the build quality unmatched? Have you held one? Do you really think Apple took a step back in that department? Comon... is this thread a joke?

He's not even trolling... NO!!! He's saying he's keeping the 5s to swap out with the 6 when he's not using it.

Basically saying the 5s is still a great phone.

The thread isn't him justifying anything. He's getting the new phone. Also he has a 5s and a 5c. I mean I've only been on these forums for a year and I've seen the guys posts...

I agree with all u said lol. Especially if the 5s is 5.5 it would shut down the competition. For ****s sake, the galaxy alpha is copying the 5s design which is so last year. Hahaha

You have the same love for ellipses as the OP. And you seem to have an uncanny fondness and protectiveness over him, as well as misrepresenting criticism as 'snobby' in the same way the OP did.

Oh, and the 6 is waaaaay cooler than the 5s. Faster processor, higher PPI, better camera, I mean wipes the floor with the 5s. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Wipes the floor? Lol! Does it heck. It's a 5S with a bigger screen. The minimal processor increase will make ZERO difference in real world usage. The 5S has a much faster processor than the i5 and yet in real world usage you can't tell them apart. Way too many kids on this forum who think latest = best and oldest = rubbish.

I read it as though he was trying to justify his non purchase. If he had announced that he bought the new iPhone anyway. Then it wouldn't have come off as a troll move in the way it came off to me.

I can see how it was misinterpreted ... Only reason I knew was because I had read in another thread he was getting a 6.

Not to mention the 5s is under utilize for its monster specs. It should hold off well until ios9

Of course it's going to hold it's own, it's only a year old, even the 5 can still be said to hold it's own, and to some extent you can extend that down to the 4s.

Too many people have the sense that as soon as the new iPhone is out then the old one is outdated and can't hold it's own which is untrue.

The 5S will still likely be on sale for another 2 years.

I understand the op. The 5s has Touch ID, 64 bit, 8 mp camera. One hand operation. I think other than apple pay and screen size it's very close.

I have a 5s and if it wasn't for me selling each year to upgrade I'd be at least thinking about whether to upgrade.

Think the issue is whether there's a wow factor. The 5s brought the sensor ( which I love). The 6 is bigger yes but again not everyone thinks having a bigger phone is great. Apple pay seems to be the exclusive iPhone 6 feature but not everyone will use it, and it's not universally adopted by retailers.

Yes and it's a lot of peoples problem. The 5s and 6 and 6+ has most of the same specs. Batteries a little bigger on both.. Screens bigger, but the A8 isn't that much faster than the A7
