if anything im thinking that the 2.66/2.93 will only be able to, but i dunno, it just doesnt make sense for apple to not address this, then again...lol.

What does the 2.66 have that the 2.53 or the 2.4 doesn't? I'm really hoping snowleapord allows for more than 6 gigs but I guess I'll just have to wait and see...
 
its not Mac os X that blocks it, mac pros get 16-32 gigs of ram all day long, its the firmware or EFI in the 15 inch macbook pros that have it capped off, but the chipsets in the macbooks/macbook pros can go up to 8gb of ram, apple just basically didnt allow it.
