I love the modular watch face - it's the most information with just a quick glance ... but then I also like Utility, because it's more like a "real" watch (you know, the one we force our children to wear so they learn to tell time), but the quick glance on Modular is just hard to beat.

And the jellyfish! I love the jellyfish!! But I want my circles, too! :(

First World Problems ;)

I personally use the Utility face because I like how it looks plus it shows plenty of information.
It all comes down to personal preference though, that's what the Watch is all about.

You're not alone.

I have decided on a schedule. Monday=Modular, Tuesday=Simple and so forth.

To quell the insanity momentarily at least.

There is help out there for us!

Coming from a Pebble and using a "digital watch" style face on there, I gravitated immediately to the modular. I love having time, date, weather, stock, activity, and battery all available at a turn of the wrist. I'll likely tinker around with some of the more classic faces in the future depending on where I'm at or what I'm doing. Though since the screen doesn't stay on when you're not actively using it, I don't know that I would worry about going to an analog face because of say a dinner party or something.

I'm rocking modular right now. Its easiest for me to see the time fast and gives me other info as well. I just tried uploading a picture of it and got some firewall blocking me. Oh well.

I liked the jellyfish a lot too. However, i would get memorized by looking at them, the screen would go dark before actually seeing what the time was...

I tried the chronograph face a bit, but it was too busy to see the time easily for me. I just got the watch last night so I guess I have more experimenting to do!

I change it based on where I am. At work I use the simple or chronograph. At home I use modular or astrology.

I use the Utility most of the time, but thankfully it's so easy to change and it remembers the settings on any watch faces you've already customized. I love how easy they made it.

Modular here too.

Orange writing looks cool on the space grey sport.

None of the other faces have enough complications for my tastes. I can't see the point in a jellyfish and knowing the time on Mars is irrelevant.

God I am old.

Wait until we get hundreds of watchfaces, like some other watches have.

It can get quite addictive.

I'm even thinking of writing an Android Wear watchface master that automatically switches between multiple watchfaces during the day.

Yeah, definitely first world problems.

Opposite here!

The designer in me loves jellyfish and solar.

I tried but am not a big fan of the complications, which I feel don't convey enough depth of information for my taste.

For example, I thought it would be useful to show "current weather" but really a simple temperature reading is meaningless to me - what I really need to know are things like probability of precipitation in the next 1, 2, and 3 hours. Also a sunrise or sunset time isn't enough - I also need civil dawn and dusk to help decide how early/late I can be out running or biking safely. Having the S&P500 indicator complication just makes me want to see a daily graph to gauge trends. So I kind of find the complications stressful, and switched most off.

In the end, I'm gravitating towards the cleanest and most design-y faces, and learning to streamline my glances to get the level of info that makes me happy.

I keep going back to the Mickey face since it has all the options I want:

World Time: Upper Left Corner
Temperature: Upper Right Corner
Day of the week, month, date

If I can find that exact layout on another face, I may switch.

Hah, I have had the same problem. I was playing with the faces for like 45 min last night while watching TV. One thing that's cool is that you can have more than one customized version of each face - just scroll all the way to the right and choose the "New" option. So you can have a few different "Modular" faces, with different colors and complications.

The best analog-style face is "Simple", which has room for 5 complications (counting the date). So, you can display the same combination of information as Modular, as long as the date is included.

I wish there were more color options for the other faces. I like the look and organization of Simple, but I wish it had the color options of Color (instead of just being able to change the seconds hand and date color).

I was switching between the analog faces at first and thought I'd hate the Modular face but once I tried it, that has become my go to face.

Sadly the animated ones kill my battery absurdly fast. I get 30% of what I do under modular.

I really like modular because I get access to everything I need. Date, time, battery, temp, activity and calendar. And some how, even with all of that it isn't cluttered.

I just wish I had more color options, using the blue because it looks best. I want hot pink! :p

Utility can be laid out the same way.

I'm using Utility with Calendar appt in upper left, battery in upper right, weather at center bottom and day/date on the watchface at the 3 o'clock position.

I'm surprised how many are going with Modular. Yea, it has the info but the nice thing here is the analog watch faces. It's a good thing they give choice.

I have been using simple with date, timer, weather, next meeting, and activity.

I just switch back and forth. I have the simple face with a timer for work since I use the timer constantly. At home I like the astronomy face because it is just cool. I like the flower/butterfly/jellyfish face but it doesn't have neough information.

anything but Mickey... if you're a male over 16yo why do you have mickey as your watch face? would you really be wearing a Mickey watch if you didn't have an AppleWatch probably not.

I switch between Utility and Chronograph since I like Analog watch faces. One of the best things about Chronograph is that you can have a white background. Although, I imagine that uses a lot of battery power.

Astrology != Astronomy

The former is BS, the latter is science ;)

M-I-C...K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E
Mickey Mouse
Donald Duck!

C'mon sing along!!:D:D

Just got my Apple Watch this morning and I have definitely been having a struggle with myself in this regard. I think I've come to a conclusion - I don't need the complications, because I can access that information ALMOST just as fast using the glances. So the artistic side of me won out, and Jellyfish it is. Reading through the thread, someone mentioned poor (30% reduction?!) in battery life while using the animations. I will give this one through tomorrow and see where I am. If I can make it through a full day (Day 2 even more) with animation without my battery running out, I'll probably stick with those gorgeous Jellyfish! haha
