I guess it could work out like that too. I just think the whole devil thing was very emphasised towards the end. As I said the lift, the screams, his destructive behaviour tearing the room apart, the inhuman cries of pain and the very fast healing (he had no damage as he walked away).
The thing I noticed was that the lift down, the screams etc. started after Shaz began having misgivings. Prior to that moment Keats' offer was all beautiful women and talk of free drinks. I wonder how much of the Hellish references Shaz subconsciously inserted into the fantasy world once she thought twice about where they were following Keats to. Remember that the entire setting wasn't real, instead it was built on and shaped by the thoughts of its inhabitants.

I also don't think Keats would have given the truth away that early as to what he represented. He would have waited until they had no choice in the matter.
I loved the line "I'm arresting you for the murder of my quattro!"
Yep, that was a fantastic line. I laughed :D
