I don't really know. I'm hoping it's the last one, but there could be a more serious bug still lurking around in bash. As far as I know, there are no more ultra-serious bugs that have been published that need to be patched.

Run "ls -lah /bin | grep sh" in Terminal and post the output.

Here is an updated version of the patched bash available from the Tenfourfox blog. As before, there is no warranty and it is provided as it. It can and should be installed right over my previous package.
Here
-rwxr-xr-x 1 0 wheel 1.2M Jun 17 2009 bash
-rwxr-xr-x 2 0 wheel 597K Sep 23 2007 csh
-r-xr-xr-x 1 0 wheel 2.0M Sep 24 2007 ksh
-r-xr-xr-x 1 0 wheel 1.2M Jun 17 2009 sh
-rwxr-xr-x 2 0 wheel 597K Sep 23 2007 tcsh
-rwxr-xr-x 2 0 wheel 959K Sep 23 2007 zsh
-rwxr-xr-x 2 0 wheel 959K Sep 23 2007 zsh-4.3.4

Nothing looks broken there and you're using the old insecure bash/sh. I suggest running the latest bash patch package to update it.

us PowerPC users who will most likely not get a fix from Apple.

Haha, that's the most optimistic attitude to possibly have.

"11/12/14: Today Apple released minor updates for iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, alongside the long awaited 10.4.12 patch for OS X Tiger.

Unfortunately for Apple II users, there is no news yet on the latest version of ProDOS, but sources suspect the beta to be released sometime this month..."

PPC only

It has finally dawned on me to ask if the binaries for the Bash bug patch are PPC only, or Universal? i.e. will the patched system still boot on an Intel Mac?

My bad.. I see that the binaries are Universal.

Here's another goodie. I've packaged Cameron Kaiser's (Tenfourfox blog) compiled bash and sh into an Installer package. Just install it like a normal package. It also backs up your current bash and sh binaries, unless they've already been backed up. It will work on any 10.4 or higher system. It is provided as is and I am not responsible if it breaks your machine. I've installed in on my machines and everything is working correctly.
I'm sorry but am I missing something? Where's the link?
