The only shot anyone had at the iPad Air 2 at Staples was to stay up after midnight. I ordered a 64GB for $424 just after 12:30am CT when they went live, but heard later that they were all gone during the early predawn hours.

Apple TV deal went live I guess last night online at Target. It's completely sold out already. I may venture out later to get one but I'm not hopeful.

I went to my local Target to get the 64GB Apple TV. I got to the front of the Apple line there and they had plenty of 32GB ones for 25% off, but they only had one 64GB and it was gone within the first two minutes (which is when I had gotten back there.)

However, I stopped by my local Walmart and they did have the 64GB Apple TV and they matched Target's price (which was also on Walmart's own website), so I got it for $149.25 before tax. Score!

I've been stalking the Apple TV deal on Target and they didn't offer it at the sale price until today, and only in store, and only starting at 6pm. I'm hoping there isn't a big demand for these and I can stop in after dinner tonite.

My local one had plenty of 32GB ATVs a few minutes after 6 tonight, but only one 64GB and that one sold before I got to the Apple desk at 6:02.

No chance at iPads on staples or sams club sites...btw Sams Club did not have a discount on the 16 GB version of iPad Air 2. Check your stuff before you report it.

Besides Best Buy and Target, none of the sites have any iPad Air 2 stock. Ridiculous

It's really pathetic these stores advertise this crap for a week or so and didn't even have enough to get through Thanksgiving morning let alone Black Friday itself; supposedly the biggest shopping day of the year. So the people who wanted to honor the holiday or be with family get screwed over, and now you have none for the biggest shopping day with them sold out; real smart move.

I dont even see the point as they aren't getting people into stores anymore anyway to sell them other stuff like old days. You figure these big chains know they need more than say 2000 iPads in each size for a Black Friday sale across the country (I think the Staples ticker had said 2000 sold once they went out of stock in a particular size)

Too bad, they probably could've sold thousands more from the comments across the net about people not able to get one before they all went out of stock. Money left on the table due to poor planning. Who in their right mind at one of these huge chain stores (Staples, Target, Walmart etc with the $100-150 off) thought having 2000 (or however many) of each size was enough?

Worst Buy is $100 more, $399 mini 4, makes no sense. Staples had the best iPad deals this year for out the door pricing (no gift cards)

Today they showed as only available in store, but a dozen Targets near my home in San Francisco all had them in stock. I went home with one at 7:30 PM.

What's the deal with Best Buy online and the Black Friday doorbuster on the Macbook Air? I thought it would have gone live at 5PM when their stores opened, but it still says "Coming Soon" for the item.

I think I managed to snag a 64GB iPad Air 2 for my father-in-law from my local Staples for $450 plus tax. I have the email confirmation, but the website said they only had one in stock, so I won't be surprised if I get an email in the morning saying the order has been cancelled.

Managed to snag a 64gb Apple TV from Target and price matched a 32gb from Walmart. Sweet deal!

MacBook Pro

B&H Photo, MacMall, and Best Buy all have deals on Macs, with the lowest prices on stock configurations listed below. MacMall has discounts on a wide range of non-stock models, with $150 to $250 off.

retinamacbookpro-800x333.jpg

- 13-inch 2.7GHz/8GB/128GB - $1,179, $150 off
- 13-inch 2.7GHz/8GB/256GB (Best Buy) (B&H Photo) (MacMall) - $1,349.99, $150 off
- 13-inch 2.9GHz/8GB/512GB - $1,599, $200 off
- 15-inch 2.2GHz/16GB/256GB - $1,699, $300 off
- 15-inch 2.5GHz/16GB/512GB - $2,149, $350 off

Looks to me like the first 15" Macbook Pro is only $200 off, not $300. Is the $300 coming later?

i don't get how this is such shocking news to everyone....this is what Black Friday has always been. It's to gain hype and get people in the store. How boring would black friday be if every single person who wanted a specific item got it? There would be no hype and no need to rush out and go to the store.

so apple themselves have no black friday deals this year? i know they used to do it in the past...

dam .. those deals look good. In the apple store here in Australia, the Macbook Pro 13" 2.7 128Gig is still $1.999.. Disk Smith has it for $1.799.10

I thought the 25% off deal on Apple TV would only be on 3rd gen. After seeing this post, I broke my cardinal rule of going out to shop in-store for Black Friday deal. I got to local Target store 10 mins before opening, but line was already epic long. And once inside, had to get into another line for electronics section. Apple TV sold out in about 1 hour and I left empty handed. Lesson learned, don't bother with these stupid ass lines at BF sales. If Apple Store has an online BF sale, I may still buy an Apple TV.

Yup, I tried Target on Thanksgiving last year. Wait in line to get in, wait in line to tell them what you want, wait in line to pay and receive it. I was there for more than 3 hours to buy two iPads and saved $120, which I received in Target gift cards. Not really worth the effort to me, not on Thanksgiving Day.

I'm about five minutes from going for this deal, can any of you more experienced Mac users share your thoughts? (Didn't think this deserved its own topic, hope posting here was alright)

I was Target.com at after midnight to buy the new Apple TV 64GB, at the payment screen, when I made the mistake of backing out to check on the 32GB version. When I went back to the cart, both models were sold out online. I was upset at Target (for not stocking enough online; probably to get you to go to the store) and myself. I couldn't go to the local store until much later. Finally got there at 11:50pm, and I got the last Apple TV they had. It was a 64GB model, too. Very lucky for me.
