Some good deals there, if Best Buy was offering the 15" rMBP at the MM sale price I would jump, BB would be the only store besides Apple where I'd buy a Mac. The difficult return policies at other sellers make that an easy call.

I sort of got my own Black Friday deal at the Apple Store on Wed, while paying full price for a Verizon iP 64gb 6s+ I asked my specialist if it was possible to return my iPad Mini 4 despite being almost a month out of the return window. She spoke to her manager who approved it, so $651.00 was refunded back to me making the price on the 6s+ $395 with AC+ and a case. I was very polite and said I understand if you won't, having two devices nearly the same size is redundant for my use.

That Apple Store (5th Avenue NYC) has been beyond awesome with me over the past three months. Makes me want to buy an rMBP there and I probably will once another bill is paid. Definitely going to let Tim Cook know he has an excellent staff there particularly early in the morning.

Wow, an iPad every second? That is impressive. I hope we see some great deals on the iPad Pro next year. I will see where I stand as far as the iPad Pro next year, right now it is not compelling enough for me to try. And budget of course. I really enjoyed the iPad Mini 4, but my phone issues dictated otherwise.

The iMac from B&H is no longer $1,599, - "27-inch 5K 3.2GHz/8GB/1TB - $1,599, $200 off" , it is now $1,629. I have been debating on grabbing it for a couple days, between B&H or Best Buy and 18 month financing for $1,649. I think for $20 more I will grab it to pay for it over 18 months.

Apple TV deal went live I guess last night online at Target. It's completely sold out already. I may venture out later to get one but I'm not hopeful.
the Target AppleTV is for the AppleTV 3 as target will not carry the AppleTV 4 till after blackfriday is over. The appleTV 4 being sold out on thurday night is a lie cause they said that they will not carry it in store till after the blackfriday sales basically they are cleaning out the overstock of the AppleTV 3s they have that they can not seem to sell. The local stores here in upstate NY said they were not even gonna carry the 32 or 64 gig models till monday the first of Dec.

Also, it looks the 128gb Air 2 wifi is also reduced $150 at Staples or at least their website. (Which I've called and confirmed is in stock at my local store.)

Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha NE had the watch 100.00 off on all models so I got a space grey sport 42 mm for 299.00.

Might depend on the region Nd the Target store. The Target here had about 4 64Gb Apple TVs left around 10pm. I was also able to price match at Walmart.

Tempting to jump on the Apple TV for $25 off but I already have 2 of the 3rd gens.

I've been stalking the Apple TV deal on Target and they didn't offer it at the sale price until today, and only in store, and only starting at 6pm. I'm hoping there isn't a big demand for these and I can stop in after dinner tonite.

Guess, I was lucky. Learned of the Target Apple TV offer last night. Wasn't sure if it was worth going out at 9 pm after eating all tired. I assumed they be all gone by 7 pm. So, said to myself don't kill yourself only to be disappointed. Check the Target App in the morning see if store still had one. If they do it's meant to be if not then it not meant to be for that price. ( either way I was getting one before Christmas) This is my very first Apple TV.

So, I looked on my Target App and one of the two Target stores in my area had the 64GB in stock. Both had the 32GB. So I headed out and purchased my very first Apple TV (a 64GB 4th Generation @ $149) at 9:30am today.

Is Apple doing their own retail deals? I can't find the answer

Haven't went by the store but looking at the website I don't see a single deal or special. Hate to see them going greedy and offer no sale at all.

If you're interested my kids have some they wouldn't mind selling
Black Friday, when the Furby craze was at it's height I drove from Stamford CT to Newburgh NY figuring they weren't that sophisticated upstate NY. (I know, pretty snobby)
Got up at 4 a.m. and upon arriving at 5:30 a.m. at the local Walmart, a double line of at least 50 yards had already formed around the building.
Gave up there, but a hot tip was that Kaybee toys (remember them?) in a nearby mall had some Furbys.
Quickly drove over there to see a very short line. Got in line, but it turned out they were only giving tickets for Furbys to the first 25 people which they let in one at a time. (They did not mention how many tickets they were going to give out)

Drove to another Walmart to just witness a stampede and people fighting to get the cheap 3 TVs, Furbys etc.

I returned laughing at myself for being so dumb and swore to NEVER again fall for ANY hype of an allegedly hyped shortage of anything. (Hence , I can wait for new iPhone models forever, until there is ample supply)

There was some less regret/embarrasment since I only did it for my daughters. They did eventually get their Furbys and true to form being kids after a few days of playing with them, they got annoyed at the permanent talking and put them into a dark closet.

Many years later, while moving I found them again and they still talk.

So, no thank you , don't want to buy any, but maybe my (I know lengthy) story can help some people to realize that black Friday is business manipulation at it's finest for gullible people.

Congrats to the few that are successful, but I'd rather sleep and more so have peace of mind, knowing I am not missing anything.

Happy holidays and bargain hunting to all!.

Former employee of a certain fruit-flavored company here (director level).

While I am in no position to offer an opinion as to the lack of any deals being offered by Apple on any products this year, I can offer some insight as to what has happened in the past. Every time (and I mean EVERY time) that the Company offered anything approaching a screamer deal on a product in the past, my phone and email would light up immediately with screams of indignation from resellers, arguing that we were killing their business, we were unethical, we were unfair, we were stealing "their" customers, and in some rare cases alleging that we had uncertain parentage. If the resellers were feeling really froggy they would threaten to bring the entire weight of the American legal system down upon us (no one had the stones to follow through on these threats).

It could be that the Company has simply chosen to forego this pain and allow the various resale channels to have their fun this year. Resale margins on Apple products are razor thin, and most of these retailers are losing money at these prices, although they ARE getting people into the stores and onto the websites, where they are likely to purchase other products with more comfortable margins.

Last thought: Apple knows exactly what they are doing, and may be keeping their powder dry and waiting for Monday (or some other point later in the holiday season).

Try Walmart.....they are selling them at the same price all day and I saw both configs in stock at my area Walmarts.

These were not bad deals, so I went to my local bestbuy to see what Canadian retailers were offering.

They had a HUGE sign saying "BIG SAVINGS" on iPads' for black friday. Now I don't expect Canadian retailers to have the same prices, because, well, Canada.

But the sales we have are laughable. save $22 on iPad Air 2 64Mb. Regularly prices at $649. Yes. Thats right. this is a 3.5% price discount for blackfriday.

I'm embarrassed for all the Apple Store retail employees who have to tell their customers that Apple was too cheap to have a Black Friday sale this year.

Shaking. My. Head.

I'm pretty much stuck in the Apple ecosystem for my own purposes, but I'm at that point now where I'll actively discourage anyone I know from buying into Apple hardware if they aren't already hopelessly bought into iOS and OS X. I really wish Microsoft hadn't designed Windows 10 to leak data like a sieve for a certain three letter agency, because it makes the platform far less secure in general and that makes recommending alternatives a lot harder.

Who cares when you can get deals elsewhere? It's not like Apple products aren't on sale, they're just not on sale at Apple stores. And I'm guessing Apple Store employees are probably relieved the stores aren't mad houses like everywhere else. I have family members that work in retail and they absolutely hate Black Friday.

How are they going greedy when they're allowing just about every third-party reseller to offer deals? Does it really matter to you if you get your discounted Apple product from an Apple store or a third-party reseller?

I am very surprised Apple decided to skip Black Friday. I had always enjoyed logging on and seeing what they offered each other.

In recent years, it had become fairly minimal, the iTunes Gift Cards, example $50 on an iPad.

However, I think the important thing is that it was part of the culture in the United States. This is just as they participate in the mystery bags in Japan each year, there are some things that just beg to be honored due to the location you do business in.

They also touted it as that "one day a year." I read that before, they wanted you to know it was the only day they offered anything.

I will point out that their current website is not particularly conductive to offering the sale prices compared to the old site that lined the products up in a traditional "store," page.

I would love to see them come out on Monday and participate since they are a internet and computer company, Cyber Monday would fit them well, and that day is getting bigger each year, but it may be that they simply had to bow to their partner retailers.

It is a bit sad for the loyalist who prefer to buy at Apple direct and want just a small token on the special day.

Again, this isn't the end of the world to me and I don't think it is some awful thing, but I am surprised since they do participate in other specials around the world such as the Japanese mystery bags.
