Congrats. How do you feel about the 13 inch screen compared to the 15? Would you say its more about loss of screen real estate or an eyesight thing...i.e. much small fonts, etc? Thanks.
honestly yes having the bigger screen is very very nice as you can lay things out and see more. I have had to adjust how I do things to accommodate the screen real estate. Honestly though it hasn't been an issue as far as tasks etc. I think the biggest trade off is the fact that this machine is super light and portable. I find that I can get into more comfortable positions with it than I could my 15 which is a huge plus. My wife picked it up yesterday thinking it was my iPad (12.9 w magic keyboard) 😆. I know a lot of people hate on the Touch Bar (as a person who hasn't had one id say its neither bad or super good. with the way Big Sur updated the notifications center I find myself adjusting the brightness and the sound there more anyway. The Touch Bar is definitely good for when I need to spell a word correctly or find an emoji (I know I know not the most advanced use cases) I am loving the responsiveness to everything I do on it and the fact that there is essentially NO fan noise (I've played WOW had multiple apps and tabs open in the background etc.) and NOTHING no sounds. And as for the battery Dang it is amazing I really haven't had to charge it much even doing major work on it.

depends, but probably 4-6 hours depends a lot on how good my internet connection is! my mobile hot spot seems to suck more battery! that 4-6 hours is a pretty intense workout, YouTube, photo editing, music playing in background

Thats about what I get on 2016 Intel i5, less now with Big Sur for some reason. I've about had it with the intel machine battery life, dragging power cords all over the house to juice it up or having to get out of my comfy chair to go to a different location to charge. This machine really never delivered on Apples battery life claims, and they know it, hence their new chip designed around efficiency. The new M1 is super enticing for that reason alone, but I am going to hold out for the version in late 2021 and pull the trigger on a trade in for this machine.

I'm good for the next 5years or so, I'm always around power sources so battery life has never affected me! I also always have a charging brick or 2 with me for emergencies
