Wow! Thank you so much for all of your insight. In thinking about it more, based on when Target Mobile will carry it (I work for the company), I'll get it from one of the stores. Can't beat 15% off an Iphone ;)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_10 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E600 Safari/6533.18.5)

I got my AT&T iPhone a day or so after launch. However with vzw, they made pre order available on feb 3, I pre ordered mine then, it arrived next day. They were available in stores on the 10th, I was first in line, and my wife owned the first official(outside of me and a few other who for lucky on the pre order) iPhone in area I know within at least 100 miles bc we have the only corporate store within 100 miles. I'd say pre order if it's an option

I'll be camping out in front of Apple, Ardomore, PA on Launch-eve, even with a pre-order. I enjoy camping out just as much as getting the new device. Always had a great time and met some great people.

Agreed. Part of the fun of releases I really care about it the release day experience. I will almost certainly be waiting outside.

So far I have been to 4 releases and they were all fun experiences. OSX Leopard, iP4 on Verizon, Modern Warfare 2, and Left 4 Dead 2. The memories will be around even when I move on to the next big thing.
