hey guys, so i preordered the iPhone 7 Plus 128gb Jet black like many others and im obviously getting a case for it but im not sure which one to choose,

I always bought and used the Apple official leather cases on both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s and they were excellent cases with very high quality feel and i really want to buy the new Apple official black leather case for my iPhone 7 Plus as well but the open bottom of the case concerns me a little bit because if the jet black coating is as delicate and prone to scratching as apple claims it is to be with their disclaimer then buying the apple leather case is almost surely to result in the bottom of my jet black iPhone 7 Plus to get micro scratches/swirl marks one way or another and i really don't want that to happen,

I hate cases that feel low quality and cheap, i did find 2 pretty nice cases from Spigen but i obviously won't know how they feel until i actually buy either one and see how it is, they do look nice in the photos though,

The first is this one: https://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Spigen-Hybrid-CUSHION-Crystal/dp/B01GIWH34O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473729445&sr=8-1&keywords=Spigen+ultra+hybrid+iPhone+7

the second one is this one: https://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Spige...01LRSGHI2/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

What do you guys think of these 2 cases? which of the 2 is going to have a higher quality premium feel? if i decide to buy any of these 2 cases it'll be the black bumper version

Thank you

What do you guys think about this case? https://buypeel.com/products/super-thin-iphone-7-case?variant=29716430727

i haven't ordered a case yet so im still undecided on which case to order for my new 7 Plus jet black, any suggestions are welcome
Spigen Neo Hybrid any day over anything from Ringke. I have one on my 6s Plus since November and it has been excellent. Not the crystal back though. Also I would recommend getting a clear wrap for the back of the phone at least before you put a case on it. Pulling it in and out of your pocket is going to trap some grit around the edges and the camera opening and will cause scratches eventually.
The Peel while the best looking similar to the Spigen Air Skin, it offers zero protection for the front since it has no lip.

in that case the peel is out of the question because ill need that lip protection in case i drop my phone, can you please provide me a link to the spigen case you are referring to?

i really dont want to buy a see through spigen case where you can see the back because that back is made of clear plastic and these clear backs usually get heavily scratched up over time

So you don't want a clear back?
Any of the Spigen Neo Hybrid would do. I have the Satin Silver for my 6s Plus. Because the Neo Hybrid is a 2 piece case, it is slightly wider and taller.
So this time around for the 7 Plus, I ordered the Spigen Liquid Armor. Same material as the Neo Hybrid but without the hard plastic number trim going around the side. It is slightly narrower and shorter.

Neo Hybrid: iPhone 7 Plus Case, Spigen [Neo Hybrid] PREMIUM BUMPER [Gunmetal] S... http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01GIWH6H8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_udp_api_5JZ2xb5BSFTBV

Liquid Armor: iPhone 7 Plus Case, Spigen [Liquid Armor] Premium Flexible Soft TPU Case for Apple iPhone 7 Plus (2016) - Black (043CS20525) by Spigen http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01GIWG3D6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_udp_api_xLZ2xbWFPP0EQ

These are from the Canadian Amazon site though.
Seems like the Spigen got thicker by 0.2mm this year compared to the last year model. The lip is probably 1mm now instead of 0.8mm.

yeah i dont want a clear back because that clear back plastic tends to scratch up after some usage and its unpleasant to look at, that liquid armor looks nice, is it a rubbery material with rubbery feel? or a plastic feel?

What do you think about this spigen case as well: https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-PREMI...33&sr=8-6&keywords=spigen+neo+hybrid+iphone+7

and you are absolutely right, the iPhone 7 Plus is a large phone as it is with no case and putting it in a super thick case that thickens it to a higher extent will make it very heavy duty like and i definitely dont want that so a case being slim is definitely a priority but i would need the case to provide minimal protection

That's the case in my first link. I have it now on my 6s Plus. I like it. It's slim and the military grade material according to Spigen. But for this year, it's 10mm instead of 9.8mm. So slightly thicker it seems.
The only downside of this case is that it widens and heightens the phone a little because of the bumper.
The second one I posted is a one piece of the same military grade material but slimmer on the sides, top and bottom. Exact same thickness though.

As for the feel, it not quite rubbery and not quite plastic feeling. Feels like good quality TPU.

I see, But the Liquid Armor case does feel high quality right? because im kindda spoiled by the Official Apple Leather case which ive been using on my iPhone 6S and the leather cases feel very high quality, i would have gotten the Apple Leather Case for my new iPhone 7 Plus as well but the open bottom cutout on the apple leather case is going to be an issue because i ordered the jet black iphone and it will scratch in that area since it wont be protected, i wish apple would have made a leather case that covers the phone throughout without an open bottom,

My Liquid Armor will arrive tomorrow or Monday and I'll let you know.
It's supposed to be the same material as the Neo Hybrid in which case if they kept the quality the same as last year, it would be fantastic. I've had my Neo Hybrid for 10 months and the TPU part doesn't have a single mark on it. The only signs of use which are minimal is on the plastic bumper piece.
If you are worried about the phone getting scratched and will be using a case all the time, just tape of the side of the phone with some scotch tape or something before you put the case on.

Sounds good man definitely let me know how the new iPhone 7 Case Liquid Armor case is as far as quality goes when you get it tomorrow, the best price on it is 11.99 on Amazon right?
The case doesn't loosen up over-time right? I mean, the iPhone sits tight in the case?

As of right now the Liquid Armor seems to be the best low profile case that provides great protection, i dont see any other alternatives, i also love the fact that the Spigen Liquid Armor Case fully Covers the Camera Cutout around very precisely and doesn't have one huge cutout instead.

Not sure about the US price but I paid $15 CAD for mine.
And yeah it has the most precise cutout unlike most others which have a big one for lenses and flash.
The TPU part is very snug but the more you take it off to clean and put back, the more slack it will have eventually.
I didn't remove my Neo Hybrid for 6 months after I first put it on. But since then I have removed it at least 5 times total and while the TPU still remains relatively snug, the plastic bumper flexes a tiny bit when squeezed. I suppose if you live somewhere with crazy temperature variances like I do, it is bound to happen as well.
So the first thing I will be doing is taping off the sides and the Apple logo before I put the case one and hopefully won't have to remove it unless I absolutely have to.

Yeah, you ordered the jet black iPhone 7 as well? Personally once i put my iPhone 7 in the case i do not plan on taking it out at all unless i sell the iPhone 7 next year, i dont think its necessary to clean the case on the inside but thats just me

I bought the matte black but it won't arrive until the beginning of October. I checked the Spigen site again and now they actually have the detailed dimensions listed in the specs instead of just on the pictures which were rounded up.
Looks like it will be nice and slim with a lip of about 0.6-0.8mm.

yeah my jet black iphone 7 plus should be delivered to me oct4-10 as well,

I really like that liquid armor case and i think im going to place an order on amazon, i do not like the Neo Hybrid case you recommend as well with the plastic piece going around because it just looks like it will make the iPhone 7 plus which is already a big phone even thicker.

So you will be using the liquid armor on your new iPhone 7?

Any other suggestions for a great case before i place the order for the Liquid Armor?

I'm limited to what I can order from Amazon Canada and would rather not get something from eBay. Ordering from case sites are normally more pricey especially with shipping.
This will be my fourth Spigen case and they quality is very good for the price.
I would have gone Neo Hybrid again as I like my Satin Silver Neo Hybrid I have now. But I want something slim with a textured back and yet low profile and the Liquid Armor fits the bill.
Other slim low profile cases have smooth backs and to me that looks cheap.
If the screens were indestructible and scratch proof, I would get a Air Skin, Peel, or Veil XT instead as I find those thin lightly frosted cases very sexy.
I had the Air Skin on my silver 6s Plus for a day and it was almost invisible and beautiful. Just no screen protection whatsoever.

I was actually looking at the Peel iPhone 7 Plus case on their website and that looks like a fantastic case as well but as you mentioned it has no lip to protect the screen in case the phone was to be dropped on concrete or something, and i think the material its made of looks like it has no grip at all and very slippery,

the Spigen Air skin looks great as well but it appears to be made of a very slippery frosted material with little to no grip at all so it might not be that great to get it

The iPhone 7 Plus Neo Hybrid is definitely a thicker case compared to the iPhone 7 Plus Liquid Armor right?

Neo Hybrid is wider and taller because of the plastic bumper and the way the TPU is moulded. Thickness is the same based on the site.

Gotcha, i just placed the order for the Liquid Armor for the iPhone 7 Plus from amazon, should be delivered here on Sunday

the Spigen Air Skin has no Lip protection at all right? i was looking at photos and it looks like No lip protection is present at all on that case
