Why is not available in IMAX 1.90:1 Aspect Ratio ? Film was shot in IMAX 1.90:1 Aspect Ratio. On Apple TV is only available in cropped traditional cinema 2.39:1 Aspect Ratio.

If it’s that important to you, you’ve should have seen the film in an IMAX theater. I hope you did. But one would need a VERY big screen at home to enjoy the benefits of a 1.9:1 aspect ratio.

First thing: 1.90:1 aspect ratio movie looks better on typical 16:9 TV screen, because of smaller black bars.
Second thing: 2.39:1 aspect ratio version of F1 The Movie is cropped version (cropped means worse not better).

Maverick being as good as it was felt like a miracle. I’m looking forward to watching.

Went to the cinema to watch it during the Summer, now I can re-watch it in my living room. Those iTunes Extras look good too.

i will watch it. it looks terrible, but i will watch it.

watched about 40 minutes of it. it is terrible but the race footage is cool. that aspect would have been better at the theater but there was no way i was spending extra money on a film like this.

Having been an F1 fan of well over 40 years the trailers are enough to tell me that its a load of rubbish.
Over 50 yrs for me. I will probably take a peek at it to see what all the hype is about but I expect it is terrible in comparison to all the actual F1 racing I’ve seen over the years.

The constant arrogance of the young kid was just too much. Dont waste your time with this movie.

Nothing? Have you seen Pluribus? Awful show. And that's just one recent example. Have you seen The Morning Show??
There are many who love both Pluribus and The Morning Show. To each his or her own.

Liked the film very much the first time I saw it in IMAX. Will watch it again soon on Apple TV. The new TV logo/animation has been attached from the 1st episode of Pluribus, i.e for the last 6 weeks.

It's actually quite interesting and irritating at the same time. It starts with a dash of Jody Foster and Contact, goes into Star Trek and the Borg, and then winds its way through some limited form of Soylent Green. It's quite good really.

Do you have something in your living room equipped for IMAX projection?

I do. It's called an Apple Vision Pro. And it is perfectly capable of projecting a virtual image of an IMAX film. Disney has figured out how to make IMAX enhanced versions of various Marvel Universe films availble for streaming on their AVP app. Apple should have done the same for F1, which was filmed with IMAX cameras.
