The CANADA iPhone 5 Pre-Order STATUS Thread!

Just got a call from the Fido store here in Laval, saying they received mine.
Thing is, Fido's systems are down... they cant activate it yet. God damn it! :mad:
 
My status on UPS just updated to delivery today.
Says it left there at around 8:30. So there is hope for us all... yay! :D
 
By 12pm ... then by 1:30... now by End of the Day

Can they do that?? What kind of guarantee is that if they keep pushing it back?

As long as I get it by the end of the day, I'm ok but I planned my day according to their guarantee that it would be here by noon. When it didn't arrive, I called UPS and they said it had changed to 1:30. I checked again and it now says "by the end of the day".

I guess a courier's guarantee means nothing.
 
I'm REALLY disappointed. My iPhone is 20 min away but it missed the connection so I have to wait till monday. Phoned UPS, they wont let me pick it up.

So much for pre-ordering through Apple

UPS didn't ring, didn't do ANYTHING to reach me. I was at home and when I checked the tracking they said they tried to reach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now only on Monday!!!!

The person that did the "delivery" didn't put any information on the yellow paper, just put the apt's number.

UPS does that to me ALL.THE.TIME. They're the worst courier I've dealt with. My door bell goes to my phone so I have proof they never ring the bell. One time they didn't even leave a sticker so I didn't know I had a delivery until the person sending it asked me why I sent it back.

I wish Apple only dealt with FedEX. Always on time, right to my door, no hassles.
 
I ordered mine at 8am last friday. My girlfriend ordered hers around 7pm that day. Her phone just arrived via Purolator from Telus. Driver said mine was not on his truck. :confused:

The only thing I can think of is that I ordered the black phone while she ordered the white. They are both 16GB.
 
Ordered 16GB Black through Telus early afternoon on the 14th, didn't get any shipping emails at all from Telus, but arrived at my university res in Toronto just now :D
 
Just spoke to the lovely people at Apple. They were very helpful.

I'm going to drop it off at a UPS location today or tomorrow, and get it within 3 days after they get it.

Had the option of getting it sent to me and having to send mine back, but don't want to risk anything with the CC (they put a hold on your card for the full amount).

Why me? Haha. Just kidding.

What did your tracking say? Mine said "by 12". When it didn't arrive, I called and they said "by 1:30". It's almost 1:30 so I checked my tracking again and it says "by end of day". What kind of guarantee is that?? Might as well have said "whenever the hell we want".

Phone just arrived at my business, 11:08am local time. Time to fire this bitch up!!

Ups tracker did NOT have it listed as out for delivery, just listed "arrival scan" in Edmonton.

So if your ups tracker doesn't have info try not to sweat it!!

Also asked UPS guy and he said it wasn't that much busier, so deliveries should be at usual times
