back in the early 2000s I owned a Saturn, and while that was an all around good car, the 4 cylinder was horrible on the highway. You had to floor it, and pray a semi-truck wasn't barreling down the road behind you. It took far too long to get up to speed.

this is what i was talking about. I looked it up and manufacturers dropped cylinders count and included a turbo because this causes the engine to give similar performance with more fuel efficiency and less co2. So V4-Turbo today matches the power of V6 from yesterday.

the only confusing part for me is if a turbo is such a better choice why have they not implemented it in consumer cars long ago? back in the 90s a turbo was a super car modification usually found high end sports cars.

Yeah, basically. I easily get up to speed on the highway, the jeep has incredible pep.
From what I've googled, the Jeep's 0 to 60 mph time is 6 to 8 seconds, while the the Chevy's time is in the same range.
