I'm currently on MacOS 15.2 and Safari 18.3 on a MacBook Pro M-series, though this problem has existed through the past few MacOS versions.

I created a Safari webapp for instagram so I can keep it separate from all my other browsing.

However, once in a while, I want to browse an instagram page from Safari itself.
When I do go to instagram.com in Safari, I get this banner at the top to give me the option to open the link in the *webapp* version instead.

I know there should be an "x" to permanently close that banner for the domain, but I can't seem to get it to show up.

I *can* get it to show up if I create a new user.

I've even tried to disable all Safari extensions, delete all Safari extensions, delete all cookies, etc.
I've even tried to remove all files from my ~/Library/Preferences folder. No luck.

Does anyone have any idea how I can either get the "x" to appear, and/or ultimately how I can disable that banner from showing up whenever I visit Instagram from Safari itself?
