And what if you have 20 apps frozen that you don't need and you want them all closed you have to manually close all of them. If you could close all of them at once that would be better. That's the only thing I don't like about how iOS multitasking.

That's the point -- you don't need to close them.

You might not have to but my son uses my phone and he likes to play games. As soon as hes done I remove them because they're in my way. It would be better if you could remove all apps at once from the multitasking bar. Maybe you feel you don't need that feature but I know others like myself would like to see this included in iOS 5.

What do you mean they're in your way?

Seriously, what is wrong with the way Apple implemented this?
Do you even really need "true multitasking"?
The save states is perfect for a mobile device.
Like some of the above posters said, it's not a computer. "True multitasking" is only going to kill your battery for no reason.

In my honest opinion it's perfect.
I like the idea of save state. Low power, low battery consumption.

My only complaint is how not all of the apps still aren't compatible with it. Alot of the games that I have like the Final Fantasy 1 and 2 start over when I close it. One of my top choices to get it up and running with fast app switching!

What I hate is how some apps still aren't updated for the Retina display. And they're popular apps too. (TSN app being one of them) It continues getting updates, but nothing for the Retina display.

Ho-lee crap! I had no idea you could close more than one at a time. Thank you!

I didn't know, either. I still don't actually because I can't come close to getting it to work! All I do is scroll when I try this. Ugh, I guess that means another 10 seconds of my life wasted each night to close these apps. Over the course of a decade that is almost a half day of my life gone! :p

Have you ever been to an Apple store and picked up an iPhone and it is super slow? Try to close all the apps manually, then it will be like new again. Even when apps are 'frozen' they make the device slow. It isn't like it is completely closed.

You have to press the little "x" on the apps at the exact same time or the device will think you just swiped.
