I see nothing wrong with this practice. Trust me, people make money in much more shadier ways than this, LOL.

It's legal & nobody is getting hurt...why not do it? Make a few hundred bucks. It's the American way. :)

I don't see the problem here considering the iPad 2 is in high demand with short supply. There is actually a set of people out there willing to pay above retail without having to stand in line. These resellers were willing to stand in line and purchase an iPad while many others couldn't be bothered. They are allowed to resell for whatever price they want and the market will dictate whether it sells for their asking price. People who complain about this are basically trying to tell people what they should do with their time and money and what they should do with a product after they purchase it.

I have an unopened iPad 2 64gb wifi black I bought yesterday, was going to list on craigslist but too much trouble, might just keep it around the house in the kitchen

If people are willing to pay, what's the problem? It's not Apples fault (except maybe places near Canada. If you are going to artificially restrict the availability by geography then you should restrict over the border purchasers too). I'm kind of mad that I did not go down and buy a couple yesterday and resell at least one of them now.

Does it really matter? Whenever you have supply < demand you will have inflated prices in the "black market". Who cares. If you don't want to pay that much don't. This same thing happened with PS3, Xbox360...etc.

Very true. In a couple weeks all those that tried to sell at inflated prices will drop their prices to normal levels, either breaking even or losing money. It happened when the iPad 2 was announced, I contacted lots of sellers for the original, generally offering less than asking price because they had crazy prices; they refused at first and then a few days later I got plenty of texts and emails out of the blue offering me their iPad for less than I'd offered in the first place.

It happens with every product. I actually bought my PS3 the day after launch day on eBay, though I only payed about 10% over retail (got pretty lucky).
