If TM is set up, and everything is backed up, Insert your Mac Install Disc and boot the computer holding C.

It will start from the DVD, Choose Utilities from the menu, then Restore from a TM backup.

I have succeeded to set up the time machine but I some how cant “kill” my hard drive. Can someone please make idiot-proof instructions of how to boot? I have two installation disk that came with the computer and Leopard disk.

Which one of the disks am I supposed to insert? Is boot the same as restart computer? Do I need to restart the computer and when it starts up hold down “c”.

Please make step-by-step instructions.

Thanks in advance

I also need any help with this subject unfortunately unlike the OP I did not have time machine set us. Am I up S*%$ creek without a paddle?
