Yeah so far it looks like it needs a lot of improvement.OK, so this ain't looking too great in reality

Need to see in person to be totally sure how close or far it feels from eye contact, but yes I would like it to be better than what I’ve seen/heard so far. It might even be that a more cartoony or simplified representation would feel more connected. So version 2 is going to improve the look of eyesight, is that what you want to pay for?View attachment 2343305
(From the verges review)
Hoping this looks better in real life. A few reviewers mentioned the images being grainy. I suspect that may have been intentional.....Apple trying to replicate what our eyes would look like behind a set of VR glasses. I crystal clear version of our eyes would probably have been even creepier.OK, so this ain't looking too great in reality

I suspect they were trying to show how our eyes WOULD look behind black tinted lenses. If our eyes showed up super bright and crystal clear....probably even more creepy. If the EyeSight is low res and not very bright, I can’t imagine it would shave off much of the cost if Apple removed it on a future version. Instead, I’d expect them to improve it, so it’s more useful than on version one.
Perhaps there will be an option to turn off this feature in future OS updates? Seems like it should be optional at best.Looking at the thumbnail images of reviewers wearing the Vision Pro, I don’t think we’ll see many people wearing these things in public. They’d be very brave to wear them where others could judge them. I can see why Tim Cook doesn’t want to be seen wearing version one. Which is not to say they look worse than other VR/AR goggles. It’s just that the other ones aren’t being marketed as something you’d wear everywhere.
Since it's a big USP, I don't think they will.I wonder if we can disable the front eyesight display to help with battery life? This would be something Apple could give us the option too in a software update surely?
Exactly, and that makes it something that isn't going to be captured well in photos. Kinda weird the way some people don't understand this.I suspect they were trying to show how our eyes WOULD look behind black tinted lenses. If our eyes showed up super bright and crystal clear....probably even more creepy.

Although I was not convinced in the beginning because I was disappointed on the final result vs marketing material, I agree with Tim Cook about Eyesight being super important
