Interesting to know what your fast food habits and likes are. We all know it's not the best choice in terms of health, blah blah, but it's interesting to see what different regions have different things and what people like.

The only fast food I eat is Wendy's, maybe once or twice a month. I'd rather eat a burger from the diner or local bar and spend 2-4 bucks more.

Likewise.

As I am not from the US, I can honestly say that I have never heard of most of the options on offer (though ketchup and mayo did strike me as remotely familiar)……

Anyway, if I am to eat fast food - (the US version, burger, meat patty friend etc.) like rdowns, I would prefer to pay a bit extra and eat it in a place where I can trust that the food will be prepared and served properly, such as a local diner or bar.

Actually, I would quibble with the OP's definite of 'fast food': Clearly, the thread implies a familiarity with the US model, and US companies; is Asian fast food not included under the 'fast food' heading? Certainly, noodle bars are a place I frequent on occasion……and some Asian countries have amazing 'fast food', which manages to be tasty, (sometimes) healthy and swiftly and freshly prepared....

The best thing that McDonald's ever did was put in a Playland. Second best thing? Apple Pay. I took the girls by Sunday, I had my usual coffee, they had chicken nuggets and apple slices while the younger one went up in the slide. Add WiFi to the list of their good moves.

I have McDonald's sometimes with friends when it's 3am and we're drunk and nothing else is open. But the key is to get there before 4am, cause then the breakfast menu starts and it's absolute garbage.

I don't eat at fast food places, and I can't remember the last time I have frequented one.

Well, rather than the condiments, (a statement in postmodernist irony, I think), - or 'eeww, gross' - instead, I clicked on 'nothing'.

However, most of the names on that list are a complete mystery to me……

Having grown up in the US, and having traveled a bit around the country, I've seen most of these places on the side of the road. As for patronizing one...I can't remember the last time that happened.

You’re _supposed_ to wind up at Denny’s.

Is this not part of the college curriculum any longer ... ?

Not a lot of Denny's in Canada - our defaults are Mcdonald's or PizzaPizza. I did go to a Denny's at 4am once and it was full of gangsters and strippers, don't really want to go again at that time. :p

Blech. Nothing beats an all night diner for munchies after a night out. You can get anything you want to eat.

Arbys and Chick-fil-a are about it.

Used to eat at Hardees back in the day when they used to be here in Denver but I think the last one closed here back in the late 80s.

McDonalds is just plain disgusting. I used to work at one here in Denver back in high school and they used to keep the burger buns in the freezer and thaw them out each day. You could always tell they did this by the texture of the bread. They still do that at many or most locations that I can tell. All the other fast food places never did this.

Nothing beats a eat in restaurant where you sit down and wait while they cook your food fresh. Not food thats been made ten minutes before you order it.

Most of my fast food, if I get fast food, is either Subway or Potbelly's. I guess they're marginally better for you being sandwich shops, but that's it. Oh and I guess the super rare burrito bowl from Chipotle.

McDonald's was a big draw with their $1 any size drink campaign when you needed an afternoon work caffeine run, but that's gone, and so is my desire to go there.

Very odd poll in general.

lets talk breakfast!

Have been very impressed with Taco Bell 's breakfast menu. The crunch wraps are very good, the burritos are cheap, and the cinnamon things are excellent.
