Congratulations--I hope to pick up a new one myself in the next few months!

Great to hear, as you've read - I can honestly say that I could not easily be more pleased with my purchase. If anything, I now have to keep a close eye on my MBP as my wife's been eyeing it very closely lately. ;) I think another :apple: switcher in the making.

As MacAndy said, if its a genuine problem i dont have a problem about it but most of the stuff i see is some rediculous overexadurated thing like "oh my mac is crazy hot, it was 45 degrees yesterday and after an update today it is 46 degrees shouldi return it back to apple?"

Fair enough. I'm just pissed off I am having to send mine back. :(

Hi Andy,

Congratulations on your new Mac! I'm just curious..... how popular are Mac computers (compared to PC window computers) in Australia? How many of your friends have Macs? BTW, never lose sight of your new Mac since it's a prize to steal.

 Thanks!

It's not easy for me to tell exactly how popular Mac's are. Most of my friends use Windows PC's, many not through choice but through economics. At the same time, quite a few of our family friends have expressed genuine interest in switching to Mac - since I've purchased mine.

I know that at work there are many staff who have Mac's at home and drudge on with Windows PC's at work. :(

I can say that every time I've gone past an Authorized Apple Reseller (no Apple Stores in my State :() - it's always busy and there are always people buying iMac's, MBP's and iPods; iPods are everywhere!

Just got a start from my wife as she walked past. Yeah, she's starting to crave a MBP.. Clearly ;)

Noisy high pitched fans. I tried for 2 days to live with it but decided I can't so sending it back on Monday. I'll probably reorder another one in a month.
