Wow he was more of a psychotic ********er than I has ever imagined.

I think the whole thing about not wanting to put on/off switches on Apple products is really interesting.
I thought it was interesting too especially since he said he never settled on believing in God or not. I would have pegged him as being a staunch atheist but instead he was agnostic. Goes to show you that you can't judge a book by it's cover ... sorry I had to.

I went ahead and pre-ordered it on iTunes. It's my first digital book and I thought it would be fitting that it'd be this one.

I hope he does believe in God so we will be able to see him in heaven. :)

I can't wait to read the book. I like how he wasn't materialistic which is ironic because Apple incites materialism every time they release a new product!

The last bit of the last video about Bill and Steve talking to each other is hilarious.

"Videos require Flash" - Good old Steve must be turning in his grave..

I watched it on TV and liked it, very touching to learn about these little details about his family.
I was a bit disappointed that the entire show was not dedicated to Steve, because during the last 15 minutes the show spent covering a report on apps for children with autism. Although somewhat related to Steve and the success with the iPad, not entirely "Steve."
Can't wait to get my copy of the book from Amazon :)

"Inexpensive" ... yeah, right.

"Marketed as the first personal computer." ... Yes, marketed as such, but not true.

Very conflicted here. Can a man truly be "great" if he acts like a jackass? I'm not so sure. You can tell a lot about people in how they treat others, especially those powerless when compared to them.

Very interesting piece…did not realize he was that much of counterculture hippie type in his younger years…dropping acid , trips to India etc. I have even more respect for him now having partook in a bit o that behavior me self…

Also thought he had some software/programming knowledge but sounds like that was not his thing. Good stuff…

Why do all the news sites still require Flash? Any way to watch these without installing Flash?

Let's see. He was loving husband and a father to children who loved him.

Being able to have a stable marriage and raise children who love their father requires a certain amount of emotional and psychological stability and maturity.

I'm not going to bother stooping to your level by hurling insults at you. I'll just let your own words speak for themselves.

In a world where so many men abandon their children for all of their childhood, I'm happy to see that Steve Jobs owned up to his mistake and reached out to his child from his previous relationship and went on to have a successful family with his second wife.

I'm curious, why did he refuse, or was so against and hated the idea of some of those early employees getting some stock options? Like what was the logic behind lets say being so against Wozniak giving them some shares? Sounded like an messed up thing to do, but I'm keeping an open mind.

What the hell does this even mean?

So he could be a dick when he wanted to in order to get his way? Welcome to human nature.

That sucks.
I'll bet Adobe loves seeing that "Videos require Flash" footnote.

Adobe: In yer face, Apple!

That episode of 60 Minutes was fantastic, and the audio from Walter's interviews with Jobs was surprising. The best part of 60 minutes was the fact that Steve Jobs actually met his biological father before knowing who his biological father really was.

Being in a similar situation to Jobs, that was probably the most touching part to all of this. Downloaded from iBooks will start reading this tonight.

He was only married once. His first daughter was from a prior relationship.
