Holy **** that's a fine camera.
It is indeed... I do however wish my 'whole' experience on the device was as good as the camera...
I kid the S5 better .It has been the best Android phone i have ever had. I bought the N3 and tried it for a few weeks. But after time I found the S-Pen novelty wore off and It just too big. Great phone but just not for me .Actually the sales amount really has nothing too much with us, but I think the note 3 looks more cool. And you?

That's what I thought at first too. Works about 85% of the time now on the first try.
-I set up my right thumb as print 1 and 2, and left thumb as print 3. Because my right thumb has two entries it improves the odds of a good swipe DRAMATICALLY.
Same trick works on the iPhone 5S, but it has 5 entries so it helps the right and left thumb. The S5 needs 5 entries too or at least 4.
2-You actually don't need to touch the screen for the swipe. Starting from the screen leads to more bad swipes. Start with the base of your thumb on the sensor and swipe straight down. The screen doesn't factor into the process despite what the little graphic might have you think.
-Don't swipe at an angle. Swipe down in a semi quick motion.
At this stage I rarely get bad swipes. My security is set for fingerprint after 3 minutes, so it's up a good amount of the time when I unlock the screen, and it's pretty unobtrusive after getting familiar with the S5.
You sir are the first person I have heard of to get a thumb print to work. I have a friend and a coworker who both could not get the phone to register any thumb print.
I'm the happy but bored owner of an iPhone 4 for 4 years who recently upgraded to 7.1.1 (before you ask, performance is actually OK! Who would have thought).
I'm thinking what to buy this year. It has to have a large screen but no more than the S5.
I will likely get an iPhone 6 but I have been toying with the idea of getting a Galaxy S5. I like the rugged back because it provides a good grip. No point in having a fancy phone like mine when I have to keep it in a £3 case all the time because it is too slippery.
I understand that the S5 has good battery and a fantastic screen. But crappy UI because of the Samsung customisation.
I also understand that it is possible to root it and flash a native KitKat ROM. Doesn't this combo provide a killer phone? Why people don't do it more often? You can always restore an approved Samsung sw if you need the warranty.
Am I missing something here?
S5 has a perfect screen size not too big or too small. And is good to hold not slippery, no need for a case. Just use Nova Launcher.
First....most will say TW is a little heavy on the resource utilization. But some of us do not find TW crappy other than that. But as it stands right now....there is no root for the Verizon and AT&T variations of the Galaxy S5. The boot loader is locked and there is no known root exploit at this time for those 2 models.I'm the happy but bored owner of an iPhone 4 for 4 years who recently upgraded to 7.1.1 (before you ask, performance is actually OK! Because doing so destroys your hardware warranty .... something goes wrong with the phone a week after your rom flashing with your hardware - you are left with an expensive brick.
The safest and best way to debloat Samsung's touchwiz - is for samsung to sort it out from scratch. There is a staggering abundance of services constantly running that should ALL be optional. If they could just show some restraint and fix the under the hood problems - Touchwiz would be decent. The launcher itself if not bad, its just that the launcher sits on top of so much guff..
Samsung have pushed out an update on camera speed and accurancy of the finger print scanner
Fyi
Where is this update? Nothing showing for me.![]()
Had to do a frickin factory restore. When I went to check for software update it told me my software had been modified ? Wtf !!
So I emergency recovery in Kies (something after my bad Note 3 experience I was dreading) but no luck. Same thing software telling me it had been modified?
Finally did a factory reset on device and it's working now....
The only thing I did was enable developer options and switch to ART... Maybe Samsung doesn't want us to use ART?
