That's it? It's a bit meh after the hype / rumor but still looks nice. I'm still not sure how or if they will release it globally.
Take a look at the leak video included in Phone Arena and Android Central's coverage. First, this guy clearly knows very little of what he's talking about--"a 'preproduction model' of the S Prime or a Prime version of the S Active", and claiming to see the enhanced clarity of the higher res display vs. 1080p.
Regardless, whatever model it is, color me unimpressed. If anyone could make using true metal in a smartphone look lackluster and cheap, leave it to Samsung. I haven't been impressed by the materials/design of the upcoming LG G3 but it looks infinitely better than this, fake metal and all.

Also comes part of a charging kit: Samsung Wireless Charging Pad + Charging Cover Kit for Galaxy S5, but I have read over on XDA that most people have a preference for the Samsung S4/Note 3 charger as the phone sits on the charger a lot better.

Oh gosh, this phone is a mammoth to hold, LOL. I'm coming from an iPhone 5s and previously an iPhone 5. I had a Galaxy S3 a year ago, but I am finding it hard to get used to the S5 on first day.
How long did it take you iPhone users to get used to the screen size? I also have smallish hands for a man, so it is quite a challenge for me.

I'm not going to lie I hate the move Samsung made releasing this "Prime" version a few months after. Is the move towards Apple's iPhone 6 or is it a Test Market for the Note 4/S6?
It is ugly, now I know why Samsung sticks with Plastic.
That's the same exact thing that was said about the S5 but you all still purchased one. I'm not sure what everyone was expecting with the Prime hardware design. Samsung was not gonna change it. The S series hasn't had any major hardware design change in... I don't remember.

yes..I did purchase an S5..... and your point is? The S5 is one of the best phones I have had.....and I have had a TON of phones..........
My point was exactly what I said. You all defend your precious S5 to the death but any evidence of the "better" S5 Prime is scoffed at, eyes roll and that it's nothing to write home about. It just seems like people are being hypocritical. You all already know that Samsung and Android as a whole does this on a regular basis. It's no surprise they come out with a better device a few months later. Why can't we just be positive about the improvements that are being made? I know it can be upsetting that you will no longer have the latest and greatest a few months after dropping a lot if $ for the newest device but we can't change the game. Just embrace it.
That's why I never go and get a new device right away, though I got my Nexus 5 only a month after its release. Still as for a new S5 Prime or whatever it will be called, don't you have to buy it outright? Or is it coming to carriers?

Eh, maybe. My dad had an S4 for work and after a couple of weeks he gave it back to his boss and got an iPhone because he hated how big it was. He doesn't have small hands either. It wouldn't bother me but apparently it bothered him.
The target market for the S prime is overseas...I do not live overseas.....
It is funny how much hate people throw around at a phone......
I know I will NEVER have the latest and greatest technology....because that is just how it is in technology.
FACT....if you buy ANY technology device......there will be a new latest and greatest just around the corner.
Anyone that expects to buy a technology device and expect it to be the latest and greatest for very long is fooling themselves.
I would never buy a phone and expect the vendor to NEVER make another better one. I actually would like to see vendors go on a twice yearly upgrade cycle. That would suit me just fine!
Yeah I am trying to decide between the S5 and the Xperia Z1 Compact.. The latter feels better in my hands; however the S5 is more stable in my opinion.. Sony's software is always buggy. Although, I like the fact the Z1 Compact added an answering machine app in the Kit Kat update, as I don't have voice mail in my plan.
And by God we've proven that this year so far
