The glossy screen is fantastic

Hey guys,
does anyone of you have the previous generation MBP (early 2008) with a glossy screen?

I'm planning on buying one, and was wondering if it's on par with the current glossy Macbooks or is it more glAssy, like the latest MBP?
 
I've always been against glossy, untill I ordered my new 15" last night lol. I really don't see it being that bad though. Plus, if its really bright out and you have matte, you get that white hazing on the screen wherever light hits it which I would equate to being equally as annoying.

Hm, yeah but what you have shown is a Macbook VS. the latest MBP...but I'd like to know about the previous generation "glossy" MBP...is it like the Macbook in your picture in terms of glossiness?

Seems that the older generation glossy screen has a better balance of reflection than the new one, so that's good news for me... 🙂

This would be my first time getting a Macbook, and since my current laptop has a glossy screen, I cannot really see myself switching back to matted screen...I like the colors on the glossy screen, plus matted screen looks outdated to me...
 
It does look nice, no one can take that away. I think the main gripe here is that there is no longer a choice. If you want a new MBP you have to dig the glossy as there is no other option. This is a shame IMO.

Hey you cheated! You put a mirror where the glass display should be! 😛

I like the new displays. I am never in a situation when it would affect me.

Edit: Hey now that I look at it, your pictures are misleading because you show the spot where the sun is directly shinning against the house in the glassbook, but not for the old model. That's misleading. Let's see the oldbook shown in the exact same spot as the glassbook. Clearly you're biased in your experiment!
 
This is my first glossy screen. I have always made sure to get matte but this screen is fantastic!
