Everyone's spending time talking about wether Rose Gold is pink or copper or whatnot, but let's get down to what really matters:

The GOLD model? Yuck!

Space Gray is professional, while Silver and Rose Gold are classy, but the Gold iPhone is just tacky and lame.

I don't know, I think they're all beautiful in their own way. Would I carry rose gold? No but that's why they offer 4 choices. Last year it was silver for me, this year space gray. Next year, who knows?

I love my gold iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. How horrible that people can have different likes and dislikes.

I personally strongly dislike the white iPhone 5c, that doesn't make me tell people who own white 5c's it sucks or that I hate it. They obviously chose that color of the 5 colors because they liked it. Just buy the colors you want and don't mind the other colors.

That's also a reason I got the gold s+ this time around. I bought a new iPad Air 2 once I discovered they weren't putting out a new one this fall. I got the gold and really like it. Thought it would be nice if my phone matched.

Opinions are like iPhone home buttons. Everyone has one.

That aside, rest assured that there are countless gold phone owning "professionals" out there who could buy and sell you 1000 times, and are so busy making stacks of cash and living large that they can't, and would never even think to, waste 10 seconds to commit their opinions of a phone's color on some random website.

Just remember that when you are tossing around labels of tacky and lame.

I actually have no ill opinions towards the gold model (I had the Gold 6).

Actually the reason I made this thread is because I had a theory - there's both a strong attitude that a space gray or black front model is the "best" color iPhone, and at the same time there's so much "fighting" (is it really fighting though? come on) over the legitimacy over Rose Gold, I figured "Can a controversy be started over the least talked about color?"

My expectations were actually taken in the opposite direction - I expected many comments that people had towards the White 4, the Gold 5s, and now the Rose Gold 6s, and I was expecting more of just a general negative attitude towards the color as the same with Rose Gold.

Not to start fights among people, but it was interesting to see. Of course it's an extremely small sample size, but the people coming to defend the Gold, surprisingly, aren't the people opposing the Rose Gold. It's really the opposite of what I expected.

I'm a guy. 40ish. Professional in office. Travels frequently. Has family, a dog, and an apartment.

Ok.

I've had Black colored phones for the last 10 years. Nokia, Motorola, iPhones, Samsungs. All of them black.
To me, Black cell phones are boring.

I bought the iPhone 5s in Gold. I bought the 6 plus in Gold. I resold them for a good amount. The Gold colored 5's are discontinued (not made anymore) and are quite rare in the secondary market (as brand new).

I've heard rumors that 6 PLUS gold is also in short supply and not manufactured anymore.

I recently got the Rose colored iPhone 6s Plus. Rare and popular models = money if I do decide to resell it. In any case, I have a protective case so no one really knows what color is your iPhone anyway. Protect your investment, protect your goods!!!

I am thinking of returning my Rose Colored for a Gold colored. But I've had the Gold for 4 years now. What to do???

I want to carry a professional phone, but goodness, I want things that make me look cool for the young generation too!!

What to do?

But for now, the Rose will be worth something in the short run. The Gold iphones are worth something, so strike while the iron is hot. And buying the Black or Silver iphones are not only boring, it's repetitious, and you are buying a product that's manufactured in much more quantities. Why buy something that is so common?

Well, it is just my opinion, but as I am ok with all colors (some of them I like more and some less) I really hate those white plastic antenna parts in gold/rose phones - for me they simply do not match to the rest of the phone...

AS my dear old dad used to say, "some people would even complain when hung with a new rope". Hey folk, it's just a phone, not a fashion accessory.

That does not mean anything. If something is ugly for someone, then it really does not matter if it is a phone, a car, a house, a chair, etc. Even if non of them are fassion accessories.
