On a scale of best looking I'd rate:

1. silver/white and space gray/black (also because the lines on the back on these are very subtle unlike the others)
2. pink (was interesting at first but has worn off)
3. gold (spray on gold look isn't my thing)

I actually have no ill opinions towards the gold model (I had the Gold 6).

Actually the reason I made this thread is because I had a theory - there's both a strong attitude that a space gray or black front model is the "best" color iPhone, and at the same time there's so much "fighting" (is it really fighting though? come on) over the legitimacy over Rose Gold, I figured "Can a controversy be started over the least talked about color?"

My expectations were actually taken in the opposite direction - I expected many comments that people had towards the White 4, the Gold 5s, and now the Rose Gold 6s, and I was expecting more of just a general negative attitude towards the color as the same with Rose Gold.

Not to start fights among people, but it was interesting to see. Of course it's an extremely small sample size, but the people coming to defend the Gold, surprisingly, aren't the people opposing the Rose Gold. It's really the opposite of what I expected.
So you got bored, that's one way to amuse oneself...

The imbalance of black and white bezels is somewhat annoying. I got the Gold 5s and lived with white until I upgraded to the 6s+, during which time I started to prefer black as seen on Macs. Happy with Space Gray now, though I was expecting to get the darker version seen on the rMB and new iPod Touch.

Gold with black bezel would actually look great.

No he's not. No use for trolls. You didn't read this:

The Gold iPhone is easily the ugliest
Fair enough, I don't agree with starting a thread just to provoke arguments.

Everyone's spending time talking about wether Rose Gold is pink or copper or whatnot, but let's get down to what really matters:

The GOLD model? Yuck!

Space Gray is professional, while Silver and Rose Gold are classy, but the Gold iPhone is just tacky and lame.

Both gold and pink color are designed mainly (or just for) China market, Apple really said it, you can google it. The gold one is definitely 100% just for China market, those rich no education Chinese love it so much!

I was really disappointed by the Sand Snakes on Game of Thrones (based on Oberyn last year and how they are portrayed in the books)

Oh, I thought this was a place to post opinions.

I don't think silver is ugly. It's more like boring.
Did you mean to say you find the white face boring? Because the space gray's back is only a shade or two darker than the Silver version. I'm still in the camp hoping for an all black front and back iPhone like the 4 series. Not the weird, it's almost black, slate color we got with the 5, but "black" black. To me, the 4 was their best design. I hate that all those people who sucked at using their hands ruined it for the rest of us.

I got a gold 6s to replace my silver 6. Silver is still my favorite, but I didn't want the new phone to look identical to the old one, and gold is pretty close . In fact, I put the new phone in the same case as my old one. It's almost exactly the same look, but the ring around the home button is gold instead of silver.

I got really tired of black phones, and rose gold just looks pink to me.

Silver is by far the ugliest
Au contraire. I had a silver 6+ and bought a silver 6S+. I even had a silver iPhone 5. I find black phones dull, gold gaudy and rose gold is for, erm, girls. Each to their own though, that's why choices exist.

Love my gold 6s and everyone I show it to says how nice it looks. I had the space gray before this so I wanted to go different this time.

I'm a guy. 40ish. Professional in office. Travels frequently. Has family, a dog, and an apartment.

Ok.

I've had Black colored phones for the last 10 years. Nokia, Motorola, iPhones, Samsungs. All of them black.
To me, Black cell phones are boring.

I bought the iPhone 5s in Gold. I bought the 6 plus in Gold. I resold them for a good amount. The Gold colored 5's are discontinued (not made anymore) and are quite rare in the secondary market (as brand new).

I've heard rumors that 6 PLUS gold is also in short supply and not manufactured anymore.

I recently got the Rose colored iPhone 6s Plus. Rare and popular models = money if I do decide to resell it. In any case, I have a protective case so no one really knows what color is your iPhone anyway. Protect your investment, protect your goods!!!

I am thinking of returning my Rose Colored for a Gold colored. But I've had the Gold for 4 years now. What to do???

I want to carry a professional phone, but goodness, I want things that make me look cool for the young generation too!!

What to do?

But for now, the Rose will be worth something in the short run. The Gold iphones are worth something, so strike while the iron is hot. And buying the Black or Silver iphones are not only boring, it's repetitious, and you are buying a product that's manufactured in much more quantities. Why buy something that is so common?

I've said this many times and I will say it again here - an iPhone is not an investment. It's a tool. Buy what you like. If you make money off of it later when you sell it, great. Never understood why people buy a phone with "investment principles" in mind. Same with cars.

I don't think silver is ugly. It's more like boring.

Kinda agree. I switched to silver with the 5S and loved the shiny edges with the white. Looks very clean and fresh. I used to be all about the black phone until they came out with space grey which I don't like. With the 6 up, I still like the silver, just not as "shiny". Don't like any other colors. The Rose Gold is my second choice.

I try to pick a different color every year knowing that I can always return it if I don't care for it once it arrives. This is the first year I returned an iPhone that I got on launch day due to the color that I choose. I ordered the Rose Gold and while I myself didn't care too much for it, I would never put someone else down because they like it. Everyone's color preferences are diffent. What a colorless world this would be if we all liked the same color...

I sort of agree with the OP, though not with the way the point was made.

Gold is IMO a colour of small, precious items. Plastering it across the back of a large phone is a bit OTT. BUT! Most people use a case so my Gold 6S+ looks great with a midnight blue leather case, with just a little glimpse of gold.

Ive had space gray for awhile and I found it boring .. I feel silver is the classiest .. but that is just my opinion
I feel the reverse after having the silver iPhone for the past 3 years I have become bored with it. I tried Rose Gold but didn't care for it. So I just placed an order for the Space Gray 6S Plus a few minutes ago.

I find Space Gray iPhones the ugliest and could of easily started a thread about that, but its just my opinion.
