I already using linux since my macmini kaput and stop using Windows after it always slow down my pc with non-stop updated
My Hackintosh evolved from an m93p Tiny to a tower, to a bit of a Frankenstein. The P300 replacement board is identical but with a firmware difference that allows for a Xeon CPU. It is as follows;
Opencore 060
Lenovo p300 board in m93p Tower case.
Xeon E3-1246 V3 CPU (quad core & hyper threaded) 3.5 GHz
24 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM
RX 570 ITX 4 GB GPU
Stock cooler and fans with added red led to shine through the front panel venting. (Sounds cheesy but it looks okay.)
Mac compatible WiFi card and USB BT dongle.
Machine is spoofed as a Mac Pro 6,1 and the CPU benchmarks somewhere between the two lower tiers, however, the GPU is twice as fast with double the VRAM, and I haven't benchmarked that.
All creature comforts work except maybe SideCar (haven't tried it so I don't know). The only thing this machine lacks is Thunderbolt. To be honest, I haven't had a need yet and USB 3.0 seems good enough.
This isn't great, but it's kinda cool if you consider the $1500 price tag on a base 2013 Mac Pro (I reused parts, so I only paid $280 in total). I would imagine it will be supported on Big Sur, so as long as open core keeps up (already working beta's on newer versions of open core).
You could probably pay less than I did but I wanted a Xeon and I wanted this GPU.

Well, mostly everything works. Can't get the built in ethernet to work on either board, and I thought the last board it was just broke. Using a usb ethernet controller works just fine and it is gigabit too so no issues there. Wanted to mention AirPlay works too!
Thanks for that. Fortunately, my machine is easy to start from scratch on should I goof but I think updating from 060 to 062 will be easier than when I updated from 056 to 060. lol!
So it worked and everything is working as usual. At first it was rough as there were no typical install visuals so I thought it wasn't working, but I just left it alone. Seems fine, but really makes me want a newer MacBook so I can run the latest OS on my laptop. Screenshot and GeekBench 5 Results - note that stuff was running when the benchmark was done so I was a couple points lower.

Should be cake from 0.6.2. I had very little to change 0.6.0. I followed along on Dortania and used sanity checker as well.
Nice, my machine scored in-between the two lowest tiers for the 2013 Mac Pro. Which is fine for what I do with it. My object was to build one equivalent to an older Mac Pro because the cost of the 🗑 is too much.
My only attempt for a n AMD based hackintosh was the FX series.
Has Big Sur been released or are you guys doing Betas? I was thinking of creating a Big Sur VM just to take a look around.
So I updated from Catalina to Big Sur directly through the OS install tool from the desktop of Catalina. First I updated to the latest open core like dfritchie suggested. Finally beta was installed about 9 pm and had another update. Updated and it no longer shows as a beta. I did it yesterday so I had to use the beta perform install tool, but it’s supposed to be released today, but I’m not sure if it’s actually ready yet. Make sure you have a compatible smbios first. Make sure to take your time updating the open core and walk away during install because it won’t show the typical install screen. You’ll probably going to think it’s broken like I did.
I'm doing it on VirtualBox so it should be a lot easier than a proper Hack.
I need 45 GB to upgrade from Mojave and there isn't enough space on my VM so I'm going to have to do a clean install.
Do you have a configuration page for a Ryzentosh? Just in case I feel like doing another build down the road.
Even if, I think it’s easier for us. I could imagine some people simply confused especially trying to compile SDST’s. Or even updating the open core. Let’s not sell ourselves short. This is a cool thing to have and do.
I've done a Hackintosh using Clover before but the hardware was so old that there were various things that didn't work. I understand OC provides better support but it would be nice if there was a place with parts lists of stuff that works. It would be fun to build a Threadripper.
Didn’t Linus do a threadripper hack or was it snazzy? I think they included the parts they used.
