I'm starting to think that Apple went ahead and took advantage of all the negative Samsung news in regards to exploding phones and pushed up their release date for the iPhone 7.

Ordered mine within minutes of store going live and still got the October ship date. Probably cancelling order and camping out first in line at local AT&T store.

Same for the JB7+. And I actually got my order in within about a minute of pre-order going live. I'm debating going to AT&T first thing in the AM, seeing if they have JB7+ in stock and canceling my pre-order at that time.

I'm Sep 23-27, and it doesn't look like its coming any earlier - at least not 9-16. Sp I doubt anything in October will, either.
[doublepost=1473770430][/doublepost]I saw that T-Mobile's prez said they sold 4 times as many 7's than they did 6S's, and that the matte black is the overwhelming favorite. I hope part of this stupid short supply isn't because the fashion children just want a "cool" color. That would annoy me greatly.

The newest color typically tends to be an early adopter favorite every launch.

Gold was impossible to get for a couple of months when the 5S dropped. There were actually websites dedicated to tracking gold inventory in stores.

Rose gold was pretty tough to come by as well at first.

Jet Black is trending in the same fashion.

Never had much hope for launch day anyway. I have a black 128 GB Plus ordered at XX:15, delivering Oct 4 - 10 but no movements. Still I have some hope that we start seeing movement towards the end of the week, but looking that even those with earlier dates haven't seen any movement, I'm starting to doubt it.

Curiously, in my country I was given the option to pay in 6 monthly installments, and it has already been charged to my credit card, with the first one already in my statement and billed while the remaining ones already show as future payments.

Matte Black 7+ 128gb thru Apple Store app. confirmation email 3:15edt. ETA 2-3 weeks 10/4-10/10.

Earlier today it got bumped up to 9/30-10/6 and I was hype and elated af.

Just a few minutes ago, it appears to have dropped back to 10/4-10/10. Feeling infuriated rn.

Haha, well my silver 7+ is supposed to ship between October 6 and 12, too. I really hoped that because of some kind of miracle, it would still arrive on launch day, but nope, that probably isn't going to work out. What a pity. Wanted to compare them side by side.

10/4 - 10/10 for my jet black iPhone 7+. Haven't "given up hope" but I'm quite doubtful that I'll be getting my phone on the 16th. I went through the same thing in April 2015 with the Apple Watch and I was sure I'd get it launch day even though I had a later delivery window. I didn't get it launch day.

I pre-ordered a 7+ 128GB matte black at 5AM EST and got October 4th-10 :(

I'm thinking about trying my luck in a store instead.

My order went through around 12:06 PST as soon as the site went live, ordered the Jet Black Plus 256gb and I'm in the Sep 26 - Oct 3 club. I was really hoping it was a conservative estimate and it would come on launch day but the status is still processing. No tracking number by reference. Looks like no hope of an early delivery.

The Apple leather case on the same order has shipped however, and should arrive before Friday. So yeah, I can stare at the case for the next couple of weeks I guess.
I'm in the same sept 26 - Oct 3rd club. I bet we get our phones by next Wednsday.

The most infuriating part is how I was up at 2:50am, couldn't get into the Store until 3:08, had my order submitted in 5 minutes with a 9/16 ETA, then I receive my email at 3:15 saying 2-3 weeks to ship.

I have no idea when I'll be getting my JB+. My carrier has this nice thing where Web orders, phone orders and store orders all have different inventory. I ordered in store and have no way of knowing when it will be coming. Might have to swing by the store tomorrow for an update.

Same story here, was ready to go by 3 AM but the store was offline on both my iPhone and Mac until 3:08 AM. By the time I'd gotten my confirmation email it was 3:11 AM. It wouldn't be as annoying if it was down for everyone at the same time, but apparently people were in as early as 3:02 AM for confirmations around 3:05 AM.

Here! Lost hope here. And I thought no one wanted the silver as much as the black options.

I'm going to be surprised and a little miffed if there are Jet Black Plus 256gb models available in store Friday...I mean shouldn't pre-orders have priority?

Pre-orders get priority in the sense that you're guaranteed your phone no matter what, regardless of delivery date. The satisfying part of pre-ordering (even with a 2-5wk ship date) is when the walk-ins who neither waited in line or stayed up til 3am go home empty handed only to order one online and wait til November. Those who opted out of pre-ordering & are walk-ins are making sacrifices to sit/stand in line for hours just like those who made sacrifices to stay up til 12-3am (add an hour onto those realistically with how this nightmare launch went) and pre-order.

Can't remember if I already replied to your comment but I plan on doing the same but will tough it out and probably get to the store around 6-8pm Thursday.

What's weird is both my gold and rose gold phones came in at launch day. Usually it's never an issue for me, but it seems this year with the Jet Black has finally given me bad luck :( lol

Don't forget, Tim doesn't like inventory. Steve liked having supply on hand. Stevens days had website crashes with fewer places to order. Tim 's days have sporadic issues and little inventory to start.

I remember the days of the first 2-3 hours having a chance to get it on launch. I am blown away about being 22 minutes in and having a delivery at one month later. I'm not even upset about it but I am amazed. A 1-2 week headstart would have made a big difference. Build the inventory.
