Should I start the "I got my perfect iPad on my first try" thread now? :p

No but you should start the "I unconditionally love Apple" thread.

I'm pretty sure by this point your posts have zero objectivity. It's ridiculous how your love for Apple blinds you of some pretty unacceptable quality control.

Are you implying that every iPad that has been made and/or sold thus far is defective?

There is a likely a distortion of how wide spread this problem is. It seems that people are much more likely to make a post or write a review of a product when they are dissatisfied than when they are 100% happy with a product.

How often do you think a customer service rep gets a call to tell them how great their product and/or service is?

This has been mentioned in many posts, but you also need to consider your sample here. Most people here on MR are likely far more into their devices than the average consumer. Therefore, it is more likely that MR members are going to run these "tests" to check out their screens. Perhaps this is an "ignorance is bliss" situation, but at the end of the day there are probably far more people who are happy with their Air than those who aren't.

Add to the ones who are complaining here, the ones who are blissfully unaware of the problem and the ones who are aware of the problem but don't come to this forum to complain and the sample size may be greater than you think. I think screen problelms with the Air are as likely to be significant as insignificant. I had 3 Airs in a row with bad screens and even my 4th one that I am happy with isn't totally free of a yellowish tinge on the left so I tend to believe the members who are reporting problems here.

Which begs the question why do you bother replying to them?

Why do you accuse me of being blind? Where have I said there are no issues? Can you please link me to the post so I can correct it?

One thing is to acknowledge the INEVITABLE production defect. It is quite another to go on rants about how Apple rips you off, insults you, doesnt care about you, blah blah blah. That I do mind and speak against. Don't confuse the two. They are quite different.

I thought this topic is for those who got good replacements, but I was wrong. My 2nd replace came back after 10+ days, with serial DMQL, not refurbished, still yellowish tint and some dust inside. Another 2 weeks until I got full "HP and MP".

Anyone cares about if the replacement is a refurbished one? How's the screen?

These yellow screen problems are so ridiculous. Happens with every launch. It's just the glue, and eventually it's going to set and be perfect.

As noted in other posts and in other places, there is no glue under this screen. It is a completely different set up.

Took me one exchange. The iPad Air that I have now is near flawless.

Do you dare to post the photo of the near flawless screen of your Ipad Air? it looks like many people here havent seen one of those screens yet. :D

So either people are posting off -topic...or very few have got acceptable replacements?

No, just got my 3rd replacement, screen as terrible as "human beer".
Another 2 weeks wait.

BTW, I never told friends around me who are enjoying iPad air about the screen issue, Don't want them starting to be perfection-wanted and screw much time as me.

Good...this isn't about stirring up **** but just getting an ipad air we can all enjoy.

My first Air had numerous crashes daily and a home button that did not work about 5% of the time, its replacement is great. It has only crashed once or twice since owning it. The retina Mini has had no issues.

Launch of the Air I had a perfect Air. Wanted a rMini. Found an open item one at Best Buy for $70 off. It's perfect also. 2 in a row. I must be a lucky Apple customer. ;)
