Ok ordered gold iphone 5s will ship in 7-10 days but when I called to ask a question to apple the gave me free expedited shipping and one of there new iphone 5s case my choice of color for free which they due cost $39.00. And got confirmation that my case just shipped.

So you say. I called and it was like, um yeah, nothing we can do, but you could pay $15 for expedited shipping and shave off 2 days. Have a nice day.

I am not an in your face, I deserve better kind of guy, so I didn't really ask for anything, but it sounded like they offered it to you to compensate for your situation. What did you actually say, and was the offer they provided, unsolicited or did you ask for it?

Update: Kizmyaz69, had originally paid for AppleCare+, and expedited shipping. All they did was refund the expedited, as it wouldn't have any real effect on delivery times. So he scored a free case, because Apple couldn't give him an "expedited" delivery, as he paid for.

Since I didn't originally pay for expedited delivery, and I didn't pay for AppleCare+, there's nothing for them to "fix," hence the cricket response when I called in and asked if it was possible to bump the delivery time.

Guess if I waited 5 more hours I wouldn't have been able to cancel my order and walk into an Apple Store and buy the last 64gb Space Gray AT&T in Louisville. Congrats to everyone who has theirs in preparing for shipment.

Haha me too. Went to the local Spokane, WA store to see if they had a 64GB in stock, they did, so I cancelled my pre-order and within 30 minutes had phone in hand.
 
I was told by the Apple CS rep when I called they weren't doing shipping method modifications at all for anyone. So, take what everyone here (even me for that matter if you want to) is saying about "I got comped next day and a free case!!!!!" or whatnot with a grain of salt.

Like KIZMYAZ69, I too was given a free case of my choice and had my shipping charge knocked to a penny. After reading that some people had overnight shipping and/or waived shipping fees, I called apple up. I asked the rep if I could possibly upgrade shipping, even if I had to pay for it, to overnight. He stated that although overnight wasn't an option, he could take the $10 dollar charge I paid for 2-3 days and charge me a penny. He said he couldn't give it to me for free. Needless to say I told him how me fiancée waited in line and had his already, so I was pretty anxious to get mine. He quickly quipped that "now we'll just have to give you a free case so you can rub it in his face". I thought he was joking until he asked me what color I'd like. I chose the light blue and it's already preparing to ship. My phone, an att 16gb Silver, is still processing though. I added a screenshot so you guys can see. I hope it ships soon!

Side note: My jealous fiancée tried to call and score a free case but was denied. The rep was questioning him on who gave me the free case and adjusted my shipping. I think it depends on which rep you get.

Preparing for shipment

64GB Space Gray Preparing for Shipment as of 7:30pm EST. Here's to hoping I receive it by midweek. My order was confirmed by Apple at 2:03am EST Friday morning. Looks like Apple is preparing all of the "first batch" phones for delivery next week. I also opted to pay $10 for expedited shipping. Hope that speeds things up by at least a day.

I get why the mods keep merging threads into this one and closing the others...but it is hard as hell to keep track of when people in here ordered from both carriers and Apple. And you merged 5c and 5s orders? We can't just have a thread for Apple store people? You know...the people in the same boat?
 
My 5s leather case shipped from Harrisburg, PA according to FedEx tracking (I live in Maryland, so 1 day transit time). My rMBP that I ordered earlier this week arrived the next day after I ordered it, so I'm really hoping that the iPhones are in Harrisburg as well!

I ordered at 0303, and mine is "Processing for shipment" now as well, like many of you.

Yeah I agree, this thread is too convoluted and incorporates every type of order combination that its useless for people in 1-3 days, 7-10 days, Apple.com, ATT/Verizon.com orders etc. to coordinate.
 
My 5s just changed to "preparing for shipment". I originally had standard shipment but called later that day to request expedited shipping. They upgraded me at no charge. I'm located in SoCal for those that are curious about zones.

Ordered from Apple around noon on Friday. It looks like it'll be a long two and a half weeks because I forgot to get expedited shipping and the Apple reps say they can't upgrade it. Oh well.
