The "I just bought/ordered/got/shipped my new iPhone 5s/5c" thread, [Merged]

Am I the only one who finds it hard to communicate with a specific group (Apple.Com 1-3 days) when all carriers/forms of purchase/purchase estimates are combined?
 
VZW 32GB Gold iPhone 5S ordered from the Apple Store app as soon as orders went live (with 1-3 Days shipping): Prepared for Shipment!

My red case has already shipped from China and will be arriving before the phone (wish it was the other way around, but oh well).

Can you both PM the mod who closed the 1-3 day thread? I did and asked it we could have it back because it was easy for everyone in that group to coordinate and it cant hurt for a few people to back me up.

EDIT: For the mods reading this, I want to be clear- I am not trying to start anything, just showing that clearly this is what members want. No disrespect at all of course.

For what it's worth, the very kind rep I called on Friday told me that it was too late to upgrade my order to expedited shipping.

BUT

She also said that, by default, they would be using expedited shipping for all orders placed in the first wave. (My order was processed as of 12:04AM PDT.)

It's *exactly* what I would say if I were a phone rep on iPhone Launch Day and wanted to quickly and effectively get the customer to shut up and stop asking questions. In spite of that, I'm still optimistic that it was the truth :p

They expedited mine after the fact but warned it only changes the time after it clears customs and would gain, at most, a day. They also did it for free.
 
Ordered a Silver 64GB from Apple.Com at 3:06AM and am finally preparing for shipping. :D :apple:

Mine just said that they weren't offering it at all. :confused:
 
I had the option to pay $10 for 2-3 day shipping at checkout. and of course I did. who knows, maybe it'll make a difference, maybe it won't.

I did too. I think it's silly to close a thread because "there's a mega order thread". Bigger doesn't mean better. I'd encourage anyone who agrees to also PM the moderator who closed the thread.
 
agreed. i liked tracking the 1-3 days thread. felt like we were in our own camp and every response was pertinent to me. mega-thread is megasucks.
 
Ordered a 16GB Gray from the Apple Store app at 3:03am EST on release day and now have a status of "Preparing for shipment."

Wife ordered a 32GB Gray from the Apple Store website at 3:10am EST and still shows "Processing Items."

Wonder how big a difference those 7 minutes will make in the end.

Order confirmation at 12:03 AM Pacific Friday

Moved from "Processing" to "Preparing for Shipment" about 5:00 PM Pacific today.

Verizon 64GB Gold with Rhinestone option :)

I'm in Southern California. Used the Apple Store app to place my order.
