The "I just bought/ordered/got/shipped my new iPhone 5s/5c" thread, [Merged]

I didn't get a shipping email and I'm in the 1-3 day crowd. I was one of the first to get a preparing for shipping too :(
 
Shipped! 9/24 delivery to east coast. Expedited. 32GB Space Gray. Also, by UPS and I can pull up by my phone number, no dashes.

Maybe you guys should try searching for your tracking number on ups. Mine was created at 7 AM China time but I didn't get thee mail from Apple until 9:18 AM. My label sat somewhere for a long time before it got sent.
 
My email also says that delivery is scheduled for Thursday, but UPS says Tuesday. Last time I experience the same discrepancy, Apple turned out being correct. I don't know who to believe this time.

Is the delivery date from the apple email or ups tracking?

If it was anything like my iPad mini, 24th will be the day it arrives in the US and the 26th will be the true delivery date.

UPS. Apple always pads a day in case UPS can't get all their deliveries out. One year mine showed up at like 10 PM and I was one of the last...the driver said everyone else had to wait until the next day.

Apple has always managed expectations. They feel its better to promise 7 days and deliver in 6 than promise 3 and deliver in 4. I forget where I read that...but it was one of Jobs' mantras.

No just a 16 GB :p I'm very organized with my space. I ordered it on the Verizon site at 11:59 PM, just before Friday :rolleyes: so I was one of the first.

16GB Gold at 12:01 via standard shipping.

Will be delivered via UPS this Wed. I'm on the west coast.

Got email shipment at 6am today PST
 
My 64GB Silver ordered on Apple.Com at 3:06AM shipped today from China for a Tuesday delivery .
 
iPhone 5s is officially shipped today from China, Scheduled Delivery date: Wednesday, 09/25/2013, By End of Day to SoCal.

anybody getting lucky that ordered their 5S later in the day on Friday and seeing anything different than this

I'm feeling like an idiot. I order a silver at about 5pm on friday and got a 7-10 day shipping window. Then I canceled it and changed the order for a gold one which won't ship until "October"

Wishing I would have just kept my place in line for the silver one =/

I doubt any of the later orders will ship until all the orders of the same phone that were placed earlier ship. Maybe we'll get lucky if some people cancel ;).

That's not entirely how it has worked. Its seemingly random because the carrier (UPS) tells them which region they want phones for so they can palletize them how they want them. At this point, they are all sitting in a big warehouse and UPS is calling the shots.

I agree though that someone ordering at 5PM won't be bumped above people ordering in the AM. But they don't go in straight order either.
