The 16 and 32 GB models of the Gold iPhone 5s have slipped to 3-5 weeks on the online Turkish Apple Store (which is worse than the 2-3 weeks the rest of the world has to wait).
I wonder if Turkey uses an unusual version of LTE/4G, so perhaps they have a specific model for Turkey? In which case Apple might have made a batch for sale at launch.
Thing is though, with a work phone they can harass you all the time. But since you're getting it for free thats the catch. Do they pay your bill too?
Hey everyone, I originally ordered a T-Mobile contract-free 32GB on 29th October and have noticed that carrier models are easier to come by, and they are also faster to ship out (as proven by a few of our posters in this very thread).
Using apple-tracker.com isn't a very accurate portrayal of the ACTUAL availability for device pickup, to be honest. During these past 2 days I've been calling a few Apple stores near my location and even though the tracker site says no 5s is available at that location, what I usually get from the employee on the phone is a very vague "1-3 models left", so today I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went to the Uptown Minneapolis store and even though the tracker site said no 32GB models are available, I managed to (finally) score one from the store, though the guy did say that there were only 2 left of the model that I was looking for.
So my advice to those who (like me) can't wait for the 2-3 weeks delivery for an unlocked model: just drive down to an Apple store and try your luck there! You'll be surprised

Manager even offered to order me an iPad...I said, for now I am good.
I also have a Macbook Pro. (which came in handy on vacation) and yes, they can contact all the time but it'll save me $$$ in the long-run.
got mine on T-mobile free contract on applestore.com. im brazilian and i live in state college, PA. im going back on 11/25 to brazil after 1 year here. ordered in 10/23 and still "processing itens".. delivers: 14-21 nov.. im worried . hope that arrives on time.. space grey 32gb

Last year, when I ordered my iMac they sent me and email and a SMS to my cell... I suppose they will follow the same way

You get an email from Apple when your order actually dispatches i.e. when UPS actuially picks it up.
Your order will change status online before that. As soon as the shipping label is created, your oder will show as "preparing for dispatch". If you then go to UPS.com and search by reference using your Apple order number you can usually find your UPS tracking page before UPS actually collect the order from the factory.
You can only order one at a time, You can order more after you receive it and activate it.
That is NOT true! I have 2 phones (one gold and a spacegrey one) waiting to ship at the moment!
